FUEL INJECTOR
A fuel injector includes a control valve assembly arranged between an actuator assembly and a nozzle assembly. A 3-way valve controls flow for filling or draining a control chamber through a first throttle and through a second throttle for enabling or preventing fuel injection. The second throttle is a through orifice provided in a plate arranged in the control chamber.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VALVE MOVEMENT DETECTION
A fuel injection method includes applying a first method current to close a spill valve according to a first method, applying a control valve current to open a control valve, and discontinuing the application of the control valve current to thereby cause the control valve to close. The method also includes applying a second method current to maintain the spill valve closed according to a second method and detecting a timing of a closing of the control valve while applying the second method current according to the second method, the second method being different than the first method.
Method and system for spill valve movement detection
A method of injecting fuel with a fuel injector includes applying a spill valve current to close a spill valve and applying a control valve current to move a control valve to an injection position. The method also includes discontinuing the application of the spill valve current to open the spill valve and preventing a return of the control valve to a non-injection position while detecting a timing when the spill valve opens.

The pressing part includes an abutment part capable of being in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the pressing passage, and a depressed opposite part that is opposed to the exhaust port at a position away from the exhaust port in a perpendicular direction perpendicular to the displacement direction due to an outer peripheral surface of the pressing part recessed from the abutment part even when the abutment part is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the pressing passage. When the abutment part is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the pressing passage, a depression dimension of the depressed opposite part relative to the abutment part is set, such that an amount of fuel discharged from the valve chest is defined by the exhaust throttle part instead of a gap between the depressed opposite part and the inner peripheral surface of the pressing passage.
Control valve arrangement of a fuel injector
A control valve arrangement includes a valve body with a filling chamber with a filling hole. A filling valve is arranged in the filling chamber for opening or closing a first fluid communication controlling filling of a first control chamber, the filling valve having a filling valve member with a moving valve seat, the filling valve member being normally biased open by a first spring. A control valve opens and closes a second fluid communication for controlling the emptying of the first control chamber, the control valve being normally biased closed by a second spring. A plug is arranged in the valve body for closing the filling chamber, the plug being provided with an opening which cooperates with the moving valve seat, the opening defining the first fluid communication between the filling chamber and the first control chamber.

Device for controlling an injector, including a passage space which can be closed off on one of its two sides by an armature element in order to thereby optionally separate a fluid high-pressure region from a fluid low-pressure region of the injector, a control space for applying a variable pressure to an injector component, preferably an injector needle, a valve which is arranged between another of the two sides of the passage space and the control space, a first connection which connects the high-pressure region of the injector to the passage space, and a second connection which connects the passage space to the control space, wherein the valve is configured to establish a direct connection between the high-pressure region and the control space if the pressure level in the passage space is equal to or higher than a predetermined value.

An injector is provided, comprising an injector body comprising an inlet passage configured to receive fluid, at least one injection outlet configured to deliver fluid, and a central bore, a needle valve disposed for reciprocal movement within the central bore between a closed position and an opened position; and an actuator configured to move the needle valve between the closed position wherein a first portion of a surface of the valve tip engages a first portion of a surface of the injector body to form a first seal that inhibits flow through the at least one injection outlet, and the opened position wherein a second portion of the surface of the valve tip engages a second portion of the surface of the injector body to form a second seal that inhibits flow through the drain outlet.
FUEL INJECTION VALVE
A fuel injection valve includes a needle valve that controls communication between a high pressure chamber and an injection hole, a follower valve provided inside a control chamber controlled by fuel pressure inside an intermediate chamber, and an open-close valve that controls communication between a first passage and a low pressure passage and communication between a second passage and the low pressure passage. The fuel injection valve is configured to control the gradient of the fuel injection rate from the injection hole with an improved configuration.
Fuel-pumping device for an internal combustion engine, and a method for pumping fuel in a fuel-pumping device
The invention relates to a fuel-pumping device (1) for a fuel injection device of an internal combustion engine with a large high-pressure pump (16) and a small high-pressure pump (14) arranged in parallel, wherein fuel can be pumped by the large high-pressure pump (16) and by the small high-pressure pump (14) from a low-pressure region (13) into a high-pressure region (18). The high-pressure region (18) is connected to at least one injector (21). A control device (30) is provided, which can be used to conduct the entire pump output of the large high-pressure pump (16) or the small high-pressure pump (14) into the low-pressure region (13) via a discharge line (15).
