Valve arrangement
A valve arrangement comprising: a valve outlet for communication with a low pressure drain; a valve housing provided with a bore for receiving fuel from an accumulator volume; and a valve member having a closed position in which it engages a valve seating defined by the bore to prevent fuel flow from the accumulator volume to the valve outlet. The valve arrangement further comprises a first restricted flow means for restricting the flow of fuel between the accumulator volume and the valve outlet during a first stage of valve opening movement; a second restricted flow means effective during a second stage of valve opening movement to provide a greater restriction than during the first stage; and a third restricted flow means effective during a third stage of valve opening movement to provide a variable restriction to fuel flow dependent on the extent of opening movement of the valve member.
Fuel injector with injection control valve cartridge
A fuel injector that includes an injector control valve assembly. The injector control valve assembly includes a contact spring positioned between a fuel injector upper body and the injector control valve assembly to isolate a stator housing from clamping forces that occur during fuel injector assembly and clamping in an internal combustion engine. The injector control valve assembly further includes a cartridge configuration that permits preassembly of the injector control valve assembly prior to mounting in the fuel injector.
TWO STAGE VALVE WITH CONICAL SEAT FOR FLOW SHUT-OFF AND SPOOL KNIFE EDGE FOR METERING FLOW CONTROL
A valve (100) comprises a barrel (104) having a central bore (110), an inlet (112), and an outlet (114, 116), and a spool (120) disposed for motion within the central bore, including a ball tip (128), a metering edge (130), and a bore (132). The spool is moveable between a closed position, wherein the ball tip engages a seat (142) to prevent fluid flow through the inlet and the metering edge is disposed in a lower chamber (148) of the central bore to prevent the fluid flow through the outlet, and an opened position, wherein the tip is spaced apart from the seat to permit fluid flow through the inlet and the spool bore into an upper chamber (154) of the central bore to equalize pressure on the spool, and the metering edge is disposed in a flow path of the outlet to permit fluid flow through the outlet.
EFI throttle body with side fuel injectors
An electronic fuel injection throttle body unit has a core body with two side components. The two side components each including a fuel delivery passage. Four air intake passages extending vertically through the throttle body. Valves are rotatable within the air intake passages. The valves being connected to valve shafts that rotate about respective valve shaft axes. The valve shaft axes and the fuel delivery passages are perpendicular to each other.
