The invention proposes an electromagnetically actuatable inlet valve (24) for a high-pressure pump, in particular of a fuel-injection system. The inlet valve (24) has a valve member (34) which can be moved between and open position and a closed position. An electromagnetic actuator (60) is provided, by means of which the valve member (34) can be moved, wherein the electromagnetic actuator (60) has an armature (68) which acts at least indirectly on the valve member (34), a magnet coil (64) which surrounds the armature (68), and a magnetic core (66) against which the armature (68) comes to rest at least indirectly when current is applied to the magnet coil (64), wherein the armature (68) is movably guided in a carrier element (78), and the carrier element (78) and the magnetic core (66) are interconnected. The carrier element (78) and the magnetic core (66) are interconnected by a sleeve-shaped connection element (90) which is integrally bonded in a first connection region (92) to the carrier element (78) and/or the magnetic core (66), and interlockingly engages the carrier element and/or the magnetic core in a second connection region (94) offset relative to the first connection region (92) in the direction of the longitudinal axis (91) of the connection element (90).
Common rail fuel system having pump-accumulator injectors
A fuel system is disclosed for use with an engine. The fuel system may have a common rail, a first type of fuel injector fluidly connected to the common rail, and a second type of fuel injector fluidly connected to the common rail. The second type of fuel injector may include a pumping portion having a bore formed therein, and a plunger reciprocatingly disposed in the bore. The second type of fuel injector may also include an accumulator portion fluidly connected to the common rail and configured to receive fuel pushed from the bore of the pumping portion by the plunger, a nozzle portion, and a valve portion fluidly connecting the pumping, nozzle, and accumulator portions.
Engine Device
An engine includes a common rail attached to one side portion of a cylinder block that pivotally supports a crankshaft in a rotatable mariner, the one side portion extending along a crankshaft center, and the common rail being configured to supply a fuel to the engine. A flywheel housing that accommodates a flywheel that is rotated integrally with the crankshaft is disposed in one side portion out of opposite side portions of the cylinder block intersecting the one side portion. One end portion of the common rail is disposed above the flywheel housing.
High-pressure fuel pump and fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle
The invention relates to a high-pressure fuel pump for supplying fuel to a first injection device of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle, having at least one first low-pressure port, via which the fuel can be fed to the high-pressure fuel pump from a low-pressure fuel pump for conveying the fuel, having at least one low-pressure chamber, to which at least a part of the fuel fed to the high-pressure fuel pump via the first low-pressure port can be fed, having at least one second low-pressure port, for conducting the fuel conveyed by means of the low-pressure fuel pump and fed to the high-pressure fuel pump away from the high-pressure fuel pump to a second injection device provided in addition to the first injection device.
Fuel pump and outlet valve thereof
An outlet valve includes an outlet valve housing with an outlet valve bore including an outlet valve seating surface. The outlet valve also includes an outlet valve member which moves within the outlet valve bore second portion between a closed position and an open position. A surface of the outlet valve bore guides the outlet valve member during movement between the closed position and the open position. The surface of the outlet valve bore and the outlet valve seating surface are provided on a continuous piece of material of the outlet valve housing. An outlet valve spring biases the outlet valve member toward the closed position and a retainer is fixed to the outlet valve housing which grounds the outlet valve spring to the outlet valve housing.
A DEVICE FOR A COMMON RAIL FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
The invention relates to a device (10) for a common rail fuel injection system (102), wherein the device (10) comprises a one-piece module (12) which comprises a common fuel line (14) and a plurality of injector bodies (16) in fluid communication with the common fuel line (14). The present invention also relates to a vehicle (100) comprising such a device (10). The present invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a device (10) for a common rail fuel injection system (102).
COMBINATION OUTLET VALVE AND PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE AND FUEL PUMP USING THE SAME
A combination outlet valve and pressure relief valve includes an outer housing having a passage. An inner housing is located within the passage and includes a first bore extending thereinto from one end and a second bore extending thereinto from the other end such that the first bore and the second bore terminate at an inner housing wall. An outlet valve assembly is located within the first bore and includes an outlet valve member, an outlet valve seat, and an outlet valve spring grounded to the inner housing wall and biasing the outlet valve member toward the outlet valve seat. A pressure relief valve assembly is located within the second bore and includes a pressure relief valve member, a pressure relief valve seat, and a pressure relief valve spring grounded to the inner housing wall and biasing the pressure relief valve member toward the pressure relief valve seat.
