Guide means, baler and method
A baler for forming round bales includes a wrapping device for wrapping a pressed bale with a wrapping material, a pressing chamber where the pressed bale is formed, a guide apparatus for guiding wrapping material to the pressing chamber, and a guide means for guiding the wrapping material via a region from the wrapping device to the guide apparatus. The guide means is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the guide means substantially bridges the region between the wrapping device and the guide apparatus. In the second position, the guide means at least partially opens up the region therebetween.
Agricultural Baler
A control system for controlling a cutting operation performed by at least one controllable components of an agricultural baler on a wrapping material incorporating a plurality of electronic identifiers is disclosed. The control system ensures that an electronic identifier is not damaged when the cutting operation is performed.
BALE IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A baler implement a tag installer operable to attach an RFID identification tag to a bale. A reader is positioned to interrogate the identification tag for receiving data from the identification tag. The reader is operable to emit an interrogation signal for interrogating the identification tag in accordance with a pre-defined timing sequence. The reader emits the interrogation signal regardless of a position of the bale in the baling chamber or on the baler implement. As such, the interrogation signal is emitted based on the pre-defined timing sequence. The pre-defined timing sequence may include a repeated on/off interrogation sequence, or continuously scanning interrogation sequence.
BALER SYSTEM WITH PRESERVATIVE MONITORING
A baler system is operable to determine an initial quantity of a preservative stored in a tank and define an application rate of the preservative to be applied per bale during a harvest operation. A number of bales to be formed during the harvest operation may be estimated, and a determination made on whether or not the initial quantity of the preservative at the defined application rate is sufficient to treat the estimated number of bales to be formed during the harvest operation. When a controller determines that the initial quantity of the preservative is not sufficient to treat the estimated number of bales to be formed during the harvest operation, the controller may send a notification to a system manager requesting additional preservative be delivered to the baler implement. The status of the preservative may be continuously monitored and updated throughout the harvest operation.
Machine direction oriented films comprising multimodal copolymer of ethylene and at least two alpha-olefin comonomers
A machine direction oriented film comprising a multimodal copolymer of ethylene and at least two alpha-olefin-comonomers having: a) a density of from 906 to 925 kg/m.sup.3 determined according to ISO 1183, b) an MFR.sub.21 of 10-200 g/10 min determined according to ISO1133, wherein the multimodal copolymer of ethylene comprises c) a first copolymer of ethylene and a first alpha-olefin comonomer having 4 to 10 carbon atoms; and d) a second copolymer of ethylene having an alpha-olefin comonomer different from the first copolymer, said second alpha-olefin comonomer having 6 to 10 carbon atoms.
BALE SHAPE MONITORING SYSTEM
A bale monitoring system includes an imaging device that is operable to capture a stereoscopic image of a bale. A computing compares the stereoscopic image of the bale to a three-dimensional standard to identify a deviation of the bale from the three-dimensional standard. The computing device may then assign the bale a shape quality score based on the deviation of the bale from the three-dimensional standard. The shape quality score may indicate a magnitude of the deviation of the bale from the three-dimensional standard. Additionally, the stereoscopic image may be analyzed to identify characteristics of the bale, such as a broken wrap material or an improperly formed bale.
Apparatus and method for forming and quickly wrapping a bale in a bale forming chamber
An apparatus and a method for forming and wrapping a bale in a bale forming chamber into wrapping material includes a wrapping material conveying device that conveys a web of wrapping material towards a wrapping material inlet. A severing device severs the web at a severing location. The wrapping material conveying device moves the web towards the inlet, forms a leading segment of the web, and keeps the leading segment in an intermediate web providing position between the wrapping material inlet and the severing location without moving the leading segment. For starting the wrapping procedure, the web is conveyed towards the inlet.
BALING APPARATUS
A sensor arrangement located on a baler for detecting rotation of a dispensing reel of wrapping material and including a rotary element having a textured surface and a sensor mounted on a displaceable mounting bracket wherein the rotary element is rotated by the dispensing reel during baling.
Net replacement film
The present invention relates to a prestretched polyethylene film having a longitudinal stretch ratio of from about 1:2 to about 1:4 and having a longitudinal elongation capability of at least 170%, said elongation capability comprising an elastic component. The invention also relates to a method for producing said film and to a method of wrapping compressed bulk material such as a round bale using said film, the method comprising further stretching the prestretched film and applying the film around the compressed bulk material in direct contact therewith. The film according to the invention may be used as a net replacement film and allows increasing the efficiency and the economics in the baling process by allowing faster baling, use of a lesser amount of wrapping film and/or improved protection of the product.
Net knife assembly
A net knife assembly for a baler is provided. The net knife assembly includes a linkage drive system including a drive linkage coupled to a motor. The net knife assembly includes a knife carrier coupled to the linkage drive system and configured to be positioned in a home position and a cut position. The net knife assembly includes a tensioning member coupled to the linkage drive system. The motor is configured to rotate the drive linkage of the linkage drive system, rotation of the drive linkage rotating the knife carrier between the home position and the cut position. Upon rotation of the knife carrier through a center position relative to the tensioning member, the tensioning member accelerates rotation of the knife carrier into the home position or the cut position.
