Apparatus and Method for Generating Electricity With Pressurized Water and Air Flow Media
20200080538 · 2020-03-12 ·

A facility for generating electricity, including a water source and a plurality of penstocks adapted for selective flow communication with the water source for delivering water from the water source to a turbine electricity generator. An electricity distribution system is provided having a first component adapted to deliver electricity generated by the turbine electricity generator to an electric grid and an alternative second component adapted to use the electricity to power an air compressor. A compressed air storage reservoir is provided for storing air compressed by the air compressor, including an outlet for selectively delivering the compressed air to the plurality of penstocks according to a predetermined sequence for providing energy to the water contained in the penstock to propel the water from the penstock to the turbine.

A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING POWER FROM TIDES
20190169812 · 2019-06-06 · ·

There is a desire to be able to generate electrical power from the tides without turbines posing an unacceptable hazard to sea traffic and/or life, and in particular without causing such sea traffic and/or life to alter their behaviour in response to the placement of turbines and/or other structures. According to the present invention, a tunnel (7) is provided at a height substantially between the low tide height and high tide height; a power take-off system (11) is configured to convert movement of water in the tunnel into usable energy. In this way, a tunnel inlet (5) may be placed at a location that does not interfere with shipping and/or the natural environment.

Method and Apparatuses for Generating-Green Energy Source- using the weight of Tidal Body of Water

By Using the above two methods with the same principals but different methods and apparatus for rotating electricity generators shafts or pressurizing fluids using the weight of the tidal body of water using Moving Tanks, reservoirs channels A & B for high and low tide separated from sea using digital gates fill the channel A and close when tide level falls, Similarly channel B gate open and empty to the sea at lowest level, Electricity Station between the channels and the Containers replenished with water from high tide reservoir (will be held until full using counterweights), then falls and empty into the low tide reservoir which make the green energy station very much in demand due to its low cost

WAVE ENERGY CONVERTER
20190010914 · 2019-01-10 · ·

A wave operated assembly (20) configured to be submerged in a body of water (12), the wave operated assembly (20) comprising a wave actuated member (24), a second portion and a piston assembly, pressure chamber (22) or spring coupled between the wave actuated member (24) and the second portion. The wave actuated member (24) and the fixed portion each define part of a first chamber (22) or volume comprising or configured to receive a fluid. A lower portion of the wave actuated member (24) at least partly defines a free surface (35) between the fluid within the first chamber (22) or volume and the body of water (12). The wave actuated member (24) is movable relative to the second portion. The piston assembly, pressure chamber (22) or spring is configured to apply a force on the wave actuated member (24) that works in opposition to a force on the wave actuated member (24) due to the fluid in the first chamber (22) or volume.

HERMETIC CAP TIDAL PULSE RESPONDER
20240271592 · 2024-08-15 ·

A concave hermetic air/brine encapsulating vessel, or cap 10, positioned in the sea at a chosen area according to tidal range. Wherein the open underside of the vessel allows brine/sea water to freely enter or exit the vessel and the tide rises and falls respectively. This rise and fall of the brine within the vessel will result in changes to the air pressure within the vessel, as the air because pressurised as the brine rises, and forms a vacuum with the vessel as the brine falls. These changes in pressure are used to operate a pneumatic actuator 60, via a suitable system of valves 50,52 coupled to the inlets and/or outlets of a pipe couple to a vent 30 on the upper portion of the vessel, or within a plurality of pipes couple to a manifold 40 coupled to the vent 30. Wherein the operation of the pneumatic actuator 60 powers a generator 62 for producing and storing power.
