The noise reducer (70) comprises a plurality of aligned spine members (72), each spine member having a length and comprising a first section (74) extending along a first part of the length of the spine member, and a second section (76) extending along a second part of the length of the spine member, wherein the first section (74) has a higher stiffness than the second section (76).
ROTOR BLADE FOR A WIND TURBINE AND WIND TURBINE
A rotor blade for a wind turbine has a rotor blade root defining a reference plane for attachment to a hub. Adjacent to the rotor blade root is a profile region extending to the rotor blade tip. In the profile region, the rotor blade has a blade profile defining a chord. The chord angle between the reference plane and the chord increases over the entire profile region, from the rotor blade root towards the rotor blade tip.
MAIN LAMINATE
A main laminate forming a load carrying structure for a wind turbine blade, the main laminate extending in a spanwise direction from a proximal end through a transition region to a distal end, wherein the main laminate comprises: a top side, a bottom side, and a thickness direction extending between the top side and the bottom side; a pultrusion portion including a bottom pultrusion element extending to a transition end of a transition portion located in the transition region of the main laminate; a plurality of stacked fibre-reinforced elements including bottom and top fibre-reinforced elements extending to a transition end of a transition portion located in the transition region,
wherein the pultrusion portion and the plurality of fibre-reinforced elements are connected by a joint in the transition region of the main laminate.
Fluid Turbine Rotor Blade with Winglet Design
A family of dual-winglet rotor blades are designed to dissipate the low energy flow in the wake of a turbine rotor. In some embodiments a dual-winglet having a first winglet transitioning from the lift surface of a rotor blade and a second winglet transitioning from the pressure surface of the rotor blade creates two distinct streams in the wake of the rotor. In one embodiment the first winglet curving away from the lift surface turns the lift force toward the center of the rotor plane while a second, smaller, winglet curving away from the pressure surface of the rotor blade turns the lift force away from the center of the rotor plane. In other embodiments winglets create a virtual shroud that expands the wake to dissipate the low-energy flow in the turbine wake. In another embodiment a dual winglet combines the aforementioned mixing effect with the wake expansion effect.
Wind power generation apparatus
A wind power generation apparatus includes a rotating shaft, a wind power generation device assembled to the rotating shaft, and an acceleration restriction mechanism. The wind power generation device includes a drag blade fixed on the rotating shaft, an inner housing connected to an outer edge of the drag blade, and an outer housing sleeved around the inner housing. The acceleration restriction mechanism includes a plurality of swing arms pivotally connected to the inner housing and a metal ring fixed on the outer housing. A magnetic portion of each swing arm is movable relative to the inner housing from an initial position to an acceleration restriction position. When the magnetic portion of each swing arm is at the acceleration restriction position, the magnetic portion at least partially covers the metal ring, so that the metal ring generates an eddy current limiting a rotating acceleration of the drag blade.
