Bale Severance Mechanism for a Continuous Round Baler (as amended)
20240389514 · 2024-11-28 · ·

A continuous round baler forms a cylindrically-shaped bale by spiral, coiled layers created by a conical portion of a bale-forming chamber and protruded upwardly from a cylindrical portion of the bale-forming chamber. The bale is circumferentially supported by netting applied to the bale in the cylindrical portion. A rotary feed table receives crop from the field and feeds the crop into the conical portion. The bale forming process can be interrupted if an insufficient volume of crop is collected on the rotary feed table. The netting material is provided on short rolls to facilitate loading onto the machine. A cutoff mechanism is coupled to the growth of the bale from the cylindrical portion to sever the bale at a predetermined length with end surfaces that are perpendicular to the axis of the bale. A bale density mechanism supports the distal end of the bale as the bale protrudes upwardly.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIRECTING A MODULE WRAP

A module builder of an agricultural vehicle includes a chamber operable to support and form a product. A wrap is feedable into the chamber through a pinch point, the pinch point partially defined by a rotatable roller. A belt at least partially defines a wrap path. The wrap is configured to move along the wrap path to surround the product in the chamber. A gas flow system and/or a reversing belt is operable to direct the wrap from the pinch point toward the wrap path.

FOIL WRAPPING DEVICE
20240407300 · 2024-12-12 ·

Foil wrapping device for wrapping of round bales comprising a wrapping table (13A, 13B) and at least one wrapper arm (12, 12) said wrapper arm (12, 12) comprising a foil roll (14) arranged to wrap plastic foil around a bale on the wrapping table, as well as means arranged to rotate at least one of the wrapping table (13A, 13B) and the wrapper arm (12). The wrapper arm(s) (12) is/are arranged with an inclination in relation to the axis of the wrapping table. Furthermore, the wrapping table (13A, 13B) is shorter in the direction parallel with the powered rollers than a typical ball length, to allow an end section of a bale supported thereon to be unsupported.

AGRICULTURAL APPARATUS WITH PICK-UP DEVICE

An agricultural apparatus configured to travel over the ground includes a pick-up device for picking up an agricultural bale from the ground. The pick-up device includes a sensing system configured to sense position and/or size of an object on the ground as the agricultural apparatus travels towards the object, a pick-up mechanism engageable with opposite sides of the object and operable to lift the object, and a controller configured to determine a position of the pick-up mechanism relative to the object based on signals received from the sensing system prior to picking-up the object, and to operate the pick-up mechanism when the pick-up mechanism is positioned correctly relative to the object.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR APPLYING TWINE TO A ROUND BALE

A baler has a dispensing arm movably mounted to a frame and configured to dispense twine to wrap a bale of crops. The bale has a first end, a second end, a center, and a rotation axis extending along a longitudinal axis of the bale. The twine arm is moveable between a stowed position, a first position near the first end of the bale, and a second position near the second end of the bale. A controller is operatively coupled to the dispensing arm to control movement of the dispensing arm between the first end, a first and second catch position, and the second end. The controller is programmed to move the dispensing arm with a fast stroke at portions of the bale and a slower apply stroke a different portions of the bale to wrap the bale with twine having consistent spacing along the longitudinal axis of the bale.
