Bale Weight Measurement Device
20200205349 · 2020-07-02 ·

A baler for forming a bale includes a frame, an axle, and a sensor. The frame supports a bale chamber. The axle is connected to the frame at a first location and spaced apart from the frame at a second location. The sensor is positioned to measure the deflection of the axle based on a distance. The deflection of the axle changes based upon a weight of the bale.

BALE WEIGHT MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL SYSTEM USING LIFTGATE

A bale holder is actuated to hold a bale in a lift gate of a baler. Lift gate actuators are then actuated to lift the gate, while it is holding the bale. A gate position sensor senses the position of the lift gate, and a force detector detects a force that is used in order to support the gate in the detected position. Bale weight generation logic then generates a bale weight based on the sensed lift gate position and the detected force. A control signal is generated based on the bale weight.

Bale weight measurement device

A baler for forming a bale includes a frame, an axle, a sensor, and at least one overload stop. The frame supports a bale chamber. The axle is connected to the frame at a first location and spaced apart from the frame at a second location. The sensor is positioned to measure the deflection of the axle. The deflection of the axle changes based upon a weight of the bale. The at least one overload stop is positioned on one of the axle and the frame to limit the deflection of the axle relative to the frame.

Agricultural system

An agricultural system including an agricultural baler and a control unit. The agricultural baler includes a drive system; a bale chamber defined by at least one movable density door; and at least one actuator for moving the at least one density door. The control unit is configured to: receive a routine-trigger-signal; determine an actuator-control-signal for adjusting a speed at which the at least one actuator moves the at least one density door in response to the routine-trigger-signal; and provide the actuator-control-signal to the drive system for driving the at least one actuator.
