Fuel injection pump
A fuel pump comprises a cam assembly having a lobe, and a body assembly including a cavity for receiving the cam assembly. The body assembly includes both a body portion and a cover portion that cooperatively form the cavity. The body portion includes a lobe cavity, an engagement surface and an opening at the cavity, with the cover portion including a respective engagement surface and opening. The engagement surfaces are mated together with the cam assembly disposed in the cavity and extending through the openings, and is configured to rotate in the cavity with the lobe disposed in the lobe cavity. A groove is formed in one of the engagement surfaces of the body portion or cover portion for receiving a seal cap at least partially therein adjacent the lobe cavity.
HYDRAULIC FLUID PUMP AND RETAINER ASSEMBLY FOR SAME
A fluid end assembly of a hydraulic fluid pump includes a housing having a first housing bore and a second housing bore offset axially from the first housing bore. A plate is fastened to the housing. The plate has a first plate bore axially aligned with the first housing bore and a second plate bore axially aligned with the second housing bore. A first removable valve cover closes the first housing bore and a second removable valve cover closes the second housing bore. A first retainer engages the first plate bore and abuts the first removable valve cover and a second retainer engages the second plate bore and abuts the second removable valve cover.

ELECTROHYDROSTATIC DRIVE WITH AN EXTENDED OPERATING RANGE
Electrohydrostatic drive with an electromechanical drive with a rotating drive shaft and a first receiving unit, wherein the electromechanical drive is arranged in the first receiving unit. Furthermore, the electrohydrostatic drive comprises a pump unit and a second receiving unit, wherein the pump unit is arranged in the second receiving unit and the second receiving unit contains a transport fluid, and the first receiving unit and the second receiving unit are arranged in contact with one another, with the result that the electromechanical drive and the pump unit are connected to one another via the drive shaft. In addition, the electromechanical drive comprises a slide ring seal, wherein the slide ring seal is arranged along the direction of extent of the drive shaft, between the electromechanical drive and the pump unit, in such a way that the first receiving unit with the electromechanical drive and the second receiving unit with the pump unit are connected along the rotating drive shaft in a fluid-tight manner with respect to one another by way of the slide ring seal.
Seal assembly
A seal assembly for high pressure equipment is disclosed and can include a back-up ring having a head and an extension extending from the head. The extension can include an interior surface that extends axially away from and radially inwardly from the head. The seal assembly can also include a spring energized seal having a jacket having a sealing portion with an annular spring disposed within the sealing portion of the jacket. At least a portion of the jacket fits around the extension of the back-up ring and wherein the back-up ring has a minimum inner diameter, ID.sub.BUR, the spring energized seal has a minimum inner diameter, ID.sub.SES, and ID.sub.SES is less than ID.sub.BUR.

High-pressure fuel pump
A fuel pump includes a plunger which reciprocates within a bore of a housing. The plunger extends from a first end proximal to a pumping chamber to a second end distal from the pumping chamber and includes a sealing ring groove between the first end and the second end. The sealing ring groove extends from an upper shoulder proximal to the first end to a lower shoulder distal from the first end and are separated by a first distance. A sealing ring is located within the sealing ring groove and engages the bore in an interference fit. A diametric clearance greater than 12 microns and less than 30 microns is provided between the plunger and the bore such that the diametric clearance extends between the sealing ring groove and the first end for a second distance which is at least four times the first distance.
