An agricultural baler includes: a frame; a feeder system coupled with the frame and including: a cutting assembly coupled with the frame and including: at least one knife configured for cutting a crop material; an engagement apparatus configured for: being spaced apart from at least one overload protection mechanism individually associated with a single one of the at least one knife; selectively engaging with the at least one knife and thereby for forcing the at least one knife to occupy a first position; and selectively engaging with the at least one knife and thereby for forcing the at least one knife to occupy a second position.
FORAGE HARVEST MACHINES HAVING MOVEABLE ROTOR ASSEMBLY TROUGH PORTIONS
The present invention relates to a forage harvest machine (1) including a crop pick-up (20), a rotor assembly (40) that rotates about a rotor axis (R), and one or more plates (216). The rotor assembly includes a rotor shaft (44), a plurality of teeth (48) attached to the rotor shaft for rotation in a teeth rotation area, and one or more augers (50, 51) for directing crop material inward toward the plurality of teeth. The one or more plates (216) radially outward from the teeth rotation area form a first trough (217, 218) and a second trough (248) in which each of the one or more augers (50, 51) is at least partially disposed, at least one of the first and second troughs being moveable relative to the other trough to adjust sizing of an auger discharge pocket (252), thereby preventing or clearing a plugging state of the rotor.
Crop Cutting Device
A crop cutting device includes a crop guiding surface and a plurality of knives arranged side-by-side. Each knife is pivotable about a knife axis between a retracted inoperative position. The crop cutting device further includes a plurality of operating units in parallel to the plurality of knives and a selector mechanism configured to selectively engage one or more of the plurality of operating units. The selector mechanism includes a rotatable shaft having a plurality of engagement elements configured to engage with the respective operating unit. The operating units are movable between a disengaged position and an engaged position by a lifting mechanism comprising an elongate element extending between a first side and a second side of a main frame.
Pre-cutter assembly for baler implement
A pre-cutter assembly includes at least one knife rotatable about a knife rotation axis between a retracted position and a deployed position, and an associated engagement arm rotatable about an arm rotation axis between a latch position securing the knife in the deployed position, and a release position allowing the knife to move into the retracted position. A magnet may be positioned for engagement with the engagement arm when the engagement arm is disposed in the latch position. The magnet is operable to apply a magnetic force to the engagement arm when engaged with the engagement arm to hold the engagement arm in the latch position thereby securing the knife in the deployed position. A cam shaft having a cam lobe may be rotated to selectively move the engagement arm between the release position and the latch position.
