METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR HARNESSING WIND ENERGY USING A TETHERED AIRFOIL
Methods, systems, and techniques for harnessing wind energy use a tethered airfoil and a digital hydraulic pump and motor, which may optionally be a combined pump/motor. During a traction phase, a wind powered airfoil is allowed to extend a tether and a portion of the wind energy harnessed through extension of the tether is stored prior to distributing the wind energy to an electrical service. During a retraction phase, the wind energy that is stored during the traction phase is used to retract the tether. The digital hydraulic pump and motor are mechanically coupled to the tether.

Compressor for compressing high-pressured fluids
A compressor assembly for further pressurizing pressurized fluid using motion of waves, the pressurized fluid being pressurized by a previous compressor assembly, is provided. The compressor assembly includes: a compression piston having a first side and a second side; a first rod portion coupled to a buoyant member coupled to the first side of the compression piston, wherein movement of the buoyant member is transferred, via the first rod portion, into movement of the compression piston between a top and bottom end of a compression chamber; and a second rod portion coupled to the second side of the compression piston and including a terminal surface, wherein the second portion is sized such that the terminal surface is located within an equalizer assembly during an entire range of motion of the compression piston. A diameter of the second portion is equal to or greater than a diameter of the first portion.

Ejection device
An ejection device includes a nozzle that ejects an ejection fluid, an ejection-side pump, a driving-side pump, and a heating unit. The ejection-side pump includes a pressure transmitting member, and an ejection chamber and a driving chamber adjacent to each other across the pressure transmitting member. The ejection chamber is filled with the ejection fluid. The driving chamber is filled with a driving fluid. The driving-side pump is a pump that applies pressure to the driving fluid. The pressure transmitting member transmits the pressure applied to the driving fluid to the ejection fluid in the ejection chamber. The heating unit heats at least the ejection-side pump while the driving-side pump remains unheated.
