Tine Plate for an Agricultural Baler
A planar tine plate having a number of tines. The tine plate is configured to be arranged on a rotor shaft of a rotor cutter apparatus of an agricultural baler. The tine plate is for moving or conveying crop material collected by the agricultural baler, for example by a pickup apparatus of the agricultural baler. The tine plate has at least one first tine and at least one second tine spaced angularly from the at least one first tine. The at least one first tine has a length greater than that of the at least one second tine. An increase in the cleaning efficiency and the crop conveying efficiency of an area to be swept by the tine plate as the rotor shaft rotates may be achieved.
Rotor Assembly for an Agricultural Baler
A rotor assembly for an agricultural baler. The rotor assembly has a rotor shaft having a central portion and first and second end portions either side of the central portion. The rotor assembly further has a number of tine plates to be arranged axially along the rotor shaft, each of the tine plates having one or more tines. The tine plates are arranged such that there is an angular spacing between the tines of adjacent ones of the tine plates. A magnitude of the angular spacing is greater or smaller at the central portion than at the first and second end portions of the rotor shaft. This can help to ensure that collected crop is more evenly distributed when it is moved into a pre-compression chamber of the baler in the case of relatively narrow or wide windrows, in particular that the crop that fills the sides of the pre-compression chamber is optimal, which means that a desired bale shape and bale rate may be more readily achieved.
BALER ROTOR FEEDING APPARATUS
A rotor assembly that has a support tube having a first diameter, at least one tooth coupled to the support tube, wherein the tooth rotates with the support tube to direct crop toward a chamber, and an undershot auger having an auger flight extending radially away from an auger core, the auger flight configured to cause the crop to flow towards a bale chamber region of the rotor assembly when rotation of the rotor assembly causes the crop to flow under the rotor assembly. Wherein, the auger core has a second diameter that is greater than the first diameter.
Agricultural Baler
An agricultural baler including a bale chamber; a plunger; a feeder duct; and a rotor feeder unit. The rotor feeder unit includes a rotor feeder unit bottom distant from a rotor feeder forming a lower boundary of a conveying channel through the rotor feeder unit. The rotor feeder unit also includes scrapers placed in a conveying direction behind the rotor feeder. The scrapers extend in between the tines and have a leading face cooperating with the tines. The agricultural baler further includes a position adjuster configured to displace the leading face of the scrapers relative to the rotor feeder unit bottom, and to displace a top wall and/or the bottom wall of the feeder duct, in order to adjust the volume of the feeder duct.
Crop Cutting Device, Agricultural Machine Comprising Such Crop Cutting Device and Crop Cutting Method
A crop cutting device including knives pivotally mounted below a crop guiding surface. Each knife is pivotable between a retracted position in which it is located below the guiding surface and an extended position. At least a cutting edge of the knife projects above the surface. A selector mechanism selectively holds spring loaded parts of operating members to maintain the corresponding knife in its retracted inoperative position while the operating member is moved to its second position. The selector mechanism includes a shaft carrying a plurality of cam elements which are mounted on the shaft and arranged to be moved to a position for blocking a respective spring loaded part upon rotation of the shaft from a non-holding to a holding position.
Hay baler
A baler for hay, straw, grass, and similar feed materials is provided. The baler communicates compressed material from a vertically inclined compression passage formed in between opposing conveyer belts to a central area of a baling chamber for baling. A plunger within the baling chamber can reciprocate in two directions to form bales which are tied and discharged from both ends of the baling chamber.
Blades and knives for agricultural machines having a toothing being varied along a length
A knife and blade for agricultural machines, in particular mower knife blades, straw chopper knives, corn header knives, feed mixer knives, loader wagon knives and baler knives, has at least one toothed cutting edge extending from a cutting edge beginning to a cutting edge end on a blade surface. The cutting edge has a straight or curved configuration and the blade surface has a mounting section. The toothing of the cutting edge is varied along its length with regard to the tooth pitch and/or the tooth geometry.
Two stage knife floor
A harvesting machine may include a main frame, a rotor assembly rotatably coupled to the main frame, a top frame movably attached to the main frame forming a passageway for crop material between the top frame and the rotor assembly, a bottom frame movably attached to the top frame, a plurality of knives movably attached to the top and bottom frames, and an actuator operatively connected to one of the top frame and the bottom frames. The plurality of knives extends through slots in the top frame. The top and bottom frames and the plurality of knives are in a raised position when the actuator is in a first position. The top and bottom frames and the plurality of knives are in a lowered position when the actuator is in a second position, which enlarges the passageway and partially retracts the knives through the slots in the top frame.
MATERIAL WRAP SYSTEM WITH SELF CLEANING FEATURE
A system for wrapping a material around a bale in a baler includes a feed system to direct the material through a feed path. A knife mechanism with a fixed knife and a counter-knife alternately cuts the material, and moves out of the feed path for feed of the material. The feed system includes a roll element configured to direct the material between the fixed knife and the counter-knife when the counter-knife is moved out of the feed path. A cylindrical brush rotates freely and is disposed between the roll element and the knife mechanism, the brush having a cylindrical shape. The brush is configured to remove debris when rotated
WEAR RESISTANT PRECUTTER KNIFE
A harvesting machine including a frame, a rotor assembly rotatably coupled to the frame configured to move crop material, and a plurality of knives movably attached to the harvesting machine. The rotor assembly includes a plurality of spaced apart rotating blades, wherein one or more of the plurality of knives extends into the spaces between the blades. Each of the plurality of knives includes a knife body and a cutting edge having a plurality of teeth, wherein each of the teeth includes a scallop or valley. Each one of the plurality of valleys extends from the knife body to the leading edge of one of the plurality of teeth, wherein adjacent valleys are located on opposite sides of the knife body. The valleys are lined with a wear resistant material to increase the longevity of the cutting edge and cutting ability.
