Selectable knife tray arrangement
A cutting assembly is described that comprises two oppositely facing sidewalls and two loading systems, each loading system comprising a transverse member that extends between and through the sidewalls, and two trays of knives. Rotation of a transverse member causes the associated tray of knives to move between a loaded and an unloaded position, wherein the loaded position the knives protrude into a crop collection channel of a harvester for the cutting of crop material.
TWO STAGE KNIFE FLOOR
A harvesting machine may include a main frame, a rotor assembly rotatably coupled to the main frame, a top frame movably attached to the main frame forming a passageway for crop material between the top frame and the rotor assembly, a bottom frame movably attached to the top frame, a plurality of knives movably attached to the top and bottom frames, and an actuator operatively connected to one of the top frame and the bottom frames. The plurality of knives extends through slots in the top frame. The top and bottom frames and the plurality of knives are in a raised position when the actuator is in a first position. The top and bottom frames and the plurality of knives are in a lowered position when the actuator is in a second position, which enlarges the passageway and partially retracts the knives through the slots in the top frame.
FIXED BLADE FOR AN AGRICULTURAL MACHINE
A blade for agricultural machines, for example, for harvesting machines and in particular a baler blade or loader wagon blade, including a substantially flat base body with a cutting area, in particular a curved cutting area, in which a cut of hay or the like is made when the base body is stationary. Cutting plates made of a carbide are arranged in the cutting area and the cutting plates are formed with cutting edges on an front side and with a first corner and a second corner. The cutting plates are arranged in plan view on an upper side of the base body in such a way that the second corner of a cutting plate lies behind a connecting line of the first corners of the cutting plates.
Rotor Feeder Unit for Agricultural Machines, Method for Operating a Rotor Feeder, and Method for Operating an Agricultural Machine
A rotor feeder unit for an agricultural baler. The rotor feeder unit includes a rotor feeder carrying a set of tines, a rotor feeder unit bottom distant from the rotor feeder forming a lower boundary of a conveying channel through the rotor feeder unit, and scrapers placed in conveying direction behind the rotor feeder. The rotor feeder is rotatable about an axis of rotation. The scrapers extend in between the tines and have a leading face cooperating with the tines. The rotor feeder unit also includes a scraper position adjusting arrangement adapted for displacement of the leading face of the scrapers relative to the rotor feeder unit bottom. The scraper position adjusting arrangement is further adapted for rotating the scrapers about the axis of rotation of the rotor feeder for angularly displacing the leading face of the scrapers relative to the rotor feeder unit bottom.
Continuous square baler
A feeding mechanism for a crop baler having a quick feeding device including hay guides which can be deflected by a semi cylinder compression mechanism. The hay guides guide the hay into the bale chamber. A cutting device is provided to divide the continuously fed hay into segments of hay to be placed above and below the compression roller. The mechanism also includes a method of storing a segment of hay while the baler binds the bale in the bale chamber with twine. The mechanism stores hay at the precise time the baler binds the bale in the bale chamber and clears the storage area while the next bale is being made. The mechanism will slow the speed of the semi cylinder, quick feed, leaf stopper cutter, and knotter needle system when binding a bale to allow the baler to operate at a higher speed when not binding the bale.
SLANTED BALE SPLITTING KNIFE
An agricultural baler includes a bale chamber having a discharge outlet and a bale splitting system. The bale splitting system includes a cutting mechanism arranged downstream of the discharge outlet and configured to split the bale into two smaller bales. The cutting mechanism is angled forwardly or rearwardly relative to a top wall or a bottom wall of the bale chamber. A bale splitting system that includes two cutting mechanisms angled in opposite directions relative to the bottom wall or the top wall of the bale chamber is also provided.
Baling apparatus
A round baler having a baling chamber, a wrapping material reservoir, a feed apparatus having an actuator, the feed apparatus configured to convey a wrapping material from the wrapping material reservoir to the baling chamber, a cutting apparatus moveable between a retracted position allowing free movement of the wrapping material and an advanced position to cut the wrapping material, and a braking apparatus for applying a braking force on a roll of wrapping material installed in the wrapping material reservoir, and an actuator for controlling operation of the feed apparatus and the cutting apparatus. The round baler further comprises a tensioning element connecting the actuator to the braking apparatus to control a down force exerted on the roll of wrapping material and so control the tension in the wrapping material.
Conveyor for a baler comprising a feed bar comprising a feed mode and a collection mode
A conveyor for a baler has a feed bar with first and second bar parts connected by a coupling such that, from a stop position, the bar parts are rotatable relative to each other in a rotational direction against a restoring force and coupled to each other in the stop position to prevent rotation in opposite rotational direction. The conveyor conveys crop within a collection chamber toward a press chamber in collection mode and from the collection chamber into the press chamber in feed mode by feed tines of the first bar part. The conveyor guides the first bar part in collection mode by a feed collection lever of the second bar part and by force transmission via the coupling and guides the first bar part in feed mode partially by a feed lever of the first bar part by rotating the bar parts relative to each other.
KNIFE HOLDER FOR COUNTERKNIFE BANK ASSEMBLY FOR COMBINE HARVESTER
A knife holder for a knife bank of an agricultural vehicle. The knife holder includes a body having opposing legs separated by a channel, wherein the channel is sized for receiving a shaft to which the knife holder is mounted; a mount for mounting the body to a knife element; and an opening for receiving a fastener for mounting the body to the shaft such that fastening the body to the shaft causes the legs to deform and compressively contact the shaft and thereby either prevent or limit inadvertent movement of the body relative to the shaft in a direction that is normal to a longitudinal axis of the shaft.
Agricultural baler with conditioning rotor and shear bar for feeding baling chamber
An agricultural baler includes: a chassis; a pickup carried by the chassis and including a plurality of rotatable tines configured to pick up crop material; a baling chamber carried by the chassis and configured to form a bale from crop material; and a feeding assembly carried by the chassis and configured to receive picked up crop material from the pickup and supply crop material to the baling chamber. The feeding assembly includes: a rotatable rotor carrying a plurality of projections configured to feed crop material to the baling chamber as the rotor rotates; and a shear bar disposed between the pickup and the rotor and configured to cooperate with the projections carried by the rotor to condition crop material before the crop material is fed to the baling chamber by the projections.
