MODULAR BIB PUMP

A modular pump features a gas-control-and-drive-unit (GCDU), a cartridge-style-pumping-module (CSPU) and a retainer clip (RC). The GCDU includes a GCDU-housing to receive/provide gas to a gas-passageway causing a GCDU-force in one direction; an actuator-rod-and-slide-valve-arrangement (AR/SVA) to respond to a CSPM-force and exhaust the gas from the GCDU-housing causing a GCDU-exhaustion-force in an opposite direction; and a GCDU-coupling-member. The CSPM includes a CSPM-housing to receive a fluid to be pumped, and a piston-and-dual-diaphragm-arrangement (PDDA) to respond to the GCDU-force, provide the CSPM-force and pump the fluid from the CSPM, and to respond to the GCDU-exhaustion-force and pump the fluid from the CSPM. The CSPM-housing includes a CSPM coupling member to detachably couple to the GCDU-coupling-member. The RC detachably couples a piston of the PDDA and an actuator rod of the AR/SVA, so the CSPM attaches/detaches from the GCDU using a three-step process for field replacement using the RC.

DUAL BIAS REGULATOR ASSEMBLY FOR OPERATING DIAPHRAGM PUMP SYSTEMS
20220042507 · 2022-02-10 ·

A diaphragm pump mechanically operable air pressure regulator assembly that is operable in direct response to the relative operation of an associated diaphragm pump system. The regulator assembly includes a housing that is constructed to receive a static air pressure signal. A cam arrangement is disposed in the regulator housing and is constructed to mechanically cooperate with a shaft of a respective diaphragm pump system. Axial translation of the shaft of the diaphragm pump system effectuates rotation of the regulator cam arrangement. The relative motion of the cam arrangement with respect to the regulator housing manipulates a force associated with a biasing device disposed in the regulator and thereby the relative degree of the static air pressure signal that is communicated to the respective diaphragm pump system.

MULTIPLE DIAPHRAGM PUMP
20220268267 · 2022-08-25 ·

Multiple diaphragm pumps are known in the art that are operated by compressed air and in which the valves are controlled by a slide element. The slide element is magnetically actuated without mechanical engagement involved in the actuation. This has the consequence that only a small amount of force can be applied which may not be sufficient due to static friction of the valve seal. The invention presents a hybrid solution which facilitates a mechanical actuation of a valve piston provided for valve control as well as a magnetic overcoming of a dead center that may be reached by the valve piston and the diaphragm piston that actuates the diaphragms of the multiple diaphragm pump.

Pump having an automated gas removal and fluid recovery system and method
09719504 · 2017-08-01 · ·

A precision pump system having a motor driver for accurately and repeatedly delivering process fluid, (e.g., photo chemicals) using a pumping fluid with minimal process fluid loss to a fabrication process and whereby the motor driver can be easily and quickly replaced without interrupting the fluid flow path. This is accomplished with the use of a process fluid reservoir and a pumping fluid reservoir that are associated with the pump, either integrated with the pump or closely adjacent. In addition, this precision pump system can be remotely monitored, viewed and controlled over the Internet. In addition, trapped process fluid within a downstream filtering block can be recirculated to the process fluid reservoir when trapped gas in the filter is removed. Furthermore, a nitrogen gas source is connected to the process fluid reservoir via a valve in case a need to insert a gas is required.

Fluid line autoconnect apparatus and methods for medical treatment system

A medical infusion fluid handling system, such as an automated peritoneal dialysis system, may be arranged to de-cap and connect one or more lines (such as solution lines) with one or more spikes or other connection ports on a fluid handling cassette. This feature may reduce a likelihood of contamination since no human interaction is required to de-cap and connect the one or more lines and the one or more spikes. For example, the automated peritoneal dialysis system may include a carriage arranged to receive the one or more lines each having a connector end and a cap. The carriage may move along a first direction so as to move the connector ends of the one or more lines along the first direction, and a cap stripper may be arranged to engage with the caps on the the one or more lines on the carriage. The cap stripper may move in a second direction transverse to the first direction, as well as to move with the carriage along the first direction.

PRESSURE CONTROL GASKETS FOR OPERATING PUMP CASSETTE MEMBRANES

A pump cassette comprising an outer flexible membrane covering flowpaths, valve chambers and pump chambers of the cassette is designed to be actuated by a control gasket on a base unit arranged to move designated valve and pump portions of the cassette membrane. The performance of a cassette valve may improved by optimizing the configuration of the valve control region of the control gasket overlying the cassette valve. This may improve both fluid flow through the valve and reduce the amount of vibratory noise associated with opening the valve. The gasket valve control or actuation region is at least partially bounded by a vacuum channel facing the outside of the gasket so that a constant vacuum can be applied between the gasket valve control or actuation region and the adjacent portion of the cassette membrane. An improved version of the vacuum channel comprises a flexible inner wall (contiguous with the valve control region) so that the inner wall flexes or partially collapses away from the cassette valve seat, while still maintaining patency of the vacuum channel during the application of negative pressure on the gasket valve actuation region to open the cassette valve.
