PERISTALTIC PUMP
20190353158 · 2019-11-21 ·

A peristaltic pump includes a rotating member operably coupled to a drive. The rotating member includes a plurality of rollers arranged in a circular configuration. A guide member defines a channel configured to direct a peristaltic tube around the rotating member so that the peristaltic tube interfaces with the plurality of rollers. The peristaltic tube is pressed against the plurality of rollers by a retaining shoe. The retaining shoe contains surface irregularities configured to restrict movement of the peristaltic tube. A keeper braces the restraining shoe against the peristaltic tube. The rotating rollers compressing the peristaltic tube against the retaining shoe as the rotating member rotates results in a peristaltic action that produces a nearly pulse free linear flow.

Dual-head, pulseless peristaltic-type metering pump

A dual-head, pulseless peristaltic-type pump comprises a pump housing, cover, two compressible tube chambers and two sets of rotatable occluding members. An off-center drive axis driven by motor or other rotational mechanism rotate inner large diameter disk. Balls or rollers between inner disk rotate in one direction from center drive axis where the outer ring is stationary and occludes the tube by linear motion without friction between tube and outer ring. The linear roller occluding motion transfers liquid or slurry from inlet to outlet of tube. In one embodiment, two separate sets of occluding members are installed 180 degree opposite to each other such that pulsations are compensated for and canceled out.

A peristaltic pump (1) including a tray, referred to as a pump body (3), which includes a substantially planar surface (32) against which a flexible tube (5) for the passage of fluid is intended to be positioned, and a system (2) for applying force including a plurality of support members (7), such as rollers, and drive elements for moving the support members against the tube in order to deform it against the pump body (3). The pump body (3) is movably mounted relative to the system (2) for applying force between a position spaced apart from the system (2) for applying force, and a position adjacent to the system (2) for applying force. The pump (1) also includes elements (36) for controlling the movement of the pump body (3) relative to the system (2) on the basis of a predetermined magnitude corresponding to the force applied to the tube.

Disclosed herein is a peristaltic pump configured to receive a fluid line and comprising a stator having a pump race, a rotor surrounded by the pump race and configured to rotate about a rotor axis. The rotor comprises a contrasting element configured to abut against the fluid line. The contrasting element is movable between a released position where the contrasting element is away from the pump race, and an operative position where the at least one contrasting element is approached to the pump race and configured to abut against the fluid line. In the released position, the contrasting element is at a distance from the pump race higher than in the operative position. The peristaltic pump further comprises a releasing member borne by the stator and movable between an active position and a rest position, where the releasing member is spatially shifted with respect to the rotor axis.

Apparatus for blood processing comprising a blood collection reservoir (30), a blood collection conduit, a blood transfer conduit, and a manually operable pump unit (10) comprising first and second peristaltic pumps (10A, 10B). The first peristaltic pump is mounted about and acts upon the blood collection conduit. The second peristaltic pump is mounted about and acts upon the blood transfer conduit. The pump unit is provided with an actuator (112) adapted to switch the second peristaltic pump between an operative condition and an inoperative condition: in the operative condition the second peristaltic pump is engaged with the blood transfer conduit to convey blood from the blood collection reservoir while the first peristaltic pump is engaged with the blood collection conduit to convey blood from a wound site to the blood collection reservoir, and in the inoperative condition the second peristaltic pump is disengaged from the blood transfer conduit.

An improved linear peristaltic pump that is able to be manufactured using fewer parts while also improving the performance and the reliability of the pump. The linear peristaltic pump utilizes a leaf spring in direct contact with a tube and is therefore able to provide smooth transitions in the forces exerted on the tube.

Continuous sample delivery peristaltic pump

A method and apparatus for pumping fluid through tubing are provided. The method includes orbiting first rollers around the periphery of a first disk at a first tangential speed in a first angular sector and a slower, second tangential speed in a second angular sector, orbiting second rollers around the periphery of a second disk at the second tangential speed, and increasing the pressure of fluid in tubing between one first roller and one second roller by causing the one first roller to fully compress the tubing at the first tangential speed and simultaneously causing the one second roller to fully compress the tubing at the second tangential speed. The apparatus includes a first disk with a recess in its periphery, the first angular sector with a nominal first radius, and a second angular sector with a nominal second radius; and a second disk with the nominal first radius and a recess in its periphery.

TUBE PUMP

A tube pump having small driving energy is provided. The tube pump includes: a flexible tube for conveying a fluid; a holder part holding the tube so that the tube is at least partially bent; a driving part; and at least one pressing part, rotationally driven around a first central axis by the driving part, and pressing the tube along the bent portion of the tube held by the holder part while rotating around the first central axis, thereby conveying the fluid in the tube. The pressing part has an inclined plane inclined from the side of the tube toward the side of the pressing part in a radially outward direction with reference to the first central axis.
