Reduced pressurization shift within diaphragm pump cavity
A positive displacement pump includes a housing surrounding a drive chamber and a diaphragm compartment. A drive element is inside the drive chamber. A diaphragm is inside the diaphragm compartment and divides the diaphragm compartment into a fluid chamber and a cavity. A shaft connects the drive element and the diaphragm. A breather valve is fluidically connected to the cavity and is configured to allow air to exit the cavity. The cavity is fluidically disconnected from the drive chamber.
PNEUMATIC SURGE SUPPRESSOR
A surge suppressor includes a boost mechanism configured to balance pressures between a working fluid and a process fluid. The boost mechanism includes a boost member that is acted on by a charge pressure of the working fluid. A shaft extends from the boost member to a pressure control member bounding the process fluid and acting on the process fluid. The boost member can have a larger effective area than the pressure control member to provide a pressure multiplication between the charge pressure and the process fluid pressure. In addition, pressure control valves are mounted to an air housing and actuated open by the boost mechanism. Actuating one of the pressure control valves open increases the charge pressure. Actuating the other pressure control valve open decreases the charge pressure.

A pressure sensor having a housing connected to a compressor head, the housing including a piston movably mounted in a cylinder, the cylinder is fluidly connected to a high-pressure part of a hydraulic system of the compressor, where the piston is adapted to be moved in a first direction away from the compressor head by the pressure of the hydraulic fluid in the high-pressure part, thereby moving a displacement member which is movably attached to the housing by one or more flexible suspensions, and the piston is adapted to be moved in a second direction towards the compressor head by the flexible suspension via the displacement member.

The present invention relates to a pump system for generating a volume flow of dialysis solution in a dialysis machine, wherein the pump system comprises at least one piston pump whose piston cooperates with a working fluid that in turn exerts force on a conveying means, in particular on a membrane, wherein setting means are provided by which the conveying volume of the piston pump per piston stroke can be reduced, with the setting means comprising a position-variable mechanical piston stop to reduce the piston stroke and/or means to reduce the quantity of the working fluid and/or means to reduce the volume of the conveying chamber that cooperates with the conveying means and that contains the dialysis solution to be conveyed.

A system or method for monitoring drilling fluid. The system may comprise a fluid supply, wherein the fluid supply houses a drilling fluid, a pump, wherein the pump is fluidly connected to the fluid supply, a dispensation unit, wherein the dispensation unit is fluidly connected to the pump, and a process vessel, wherein the process vessel is fluidly coupled to the dispensation unit. The dispensation unit may comprise a housing, wherein the housing may comprise an internal cavity, an inlet, and an outlet. The dispensation unit may further comprise a top plate, wherein the top plate is configured to form a seal over the housing, and a diaphragm, wherein the diaphragm is disposed between the top plate and the housing. A method may comprise pumping the drilling fluid through a dispensation unit, actuating the dispensation unit, and determining a property of the drilling fluid.
High-throughput diaphragm compressor
Devices and methods for operating a diaphragm compressor system provide high output pressure and high throughput. In some embodiments, modular diaphragm compressors are stacked with a clamping mechanism pressing the compressor modules together. In embodiments, multiple stacks are provided as stages of a pressurization process. In embodiments, a main stage valve controls one or more pressure circuits for one or more hydraulic actuators of compressor modules. In embodiments, orifices configured for damping are incorporated to control actuator piston movement within a compressor module.
Centrifugal Compressor with Piston Intensifier
A compressor system for receiving a gas fluid and discharging the gas fluid at a higher pressure. The system comprises at least one compressor and at least one piston intensifier associated with each compressor. Each piston intensifier has a double-acting piston, with one piston head reciprocating in an actuation cavity and the other piston head reciprocating in a high pressure cavity. The compressor delivers its output flow to both cavities of the piston intensifier, alternating between below and above their piston heads, to provide both a working (actuation) fluid and a fluid to be compressed and discharged. A return flow from the actuation cavity back to the compressor also alternates to recycle the working fluid.
