Handle Assembly System for a Hand Tool
A handle assembly system includes first and second handle sections intended to be assembled with one another, means for retaining one of the first and second handle sections in the other of the first and second handle sections and means for securing by friction an assembly of the first and second handle sections, the friction securing means comprising a friction seal interposed between the first and second handle sections.
Hand tool with shear assembly
A hand tool including a shear assembly is provided, including a first handle, a second handle including a cutting member, and a cutting blade. The cutting blade forms a first opening and a second opening. The first handle is attachable in a first operating mode to the cutting blade at the first opening via a first fastener. The first handle is attachable in a second operating mode to the cutting blade at the second opening via the first fastener. The cutting blade is attached in pivotal arrangement to the second handle via a second fastener.

Variable Force Compound Cutting Lopper
Variable force compound gear lopper devices and methods that produce a pinching effect of the handles which comes into play only after the wood, branch, is in the jaws. Once the wood, such as a branch, is in the jaws it causes a countering force which allow the new handle arrangement to cause the frame to rotate slightly on the hook side against the work opposite the cutting blade. So, in effect there is a double compound action against the work. A true double compound pinching effect against the work from both sides of the lopper. With the old version the frame is static and the only action is from the blade side. The variable force lopper has an upper handle; a lower handle connected by a cutting head with upper and lower arms therebetween, with an upper jaw and a lower jaw; and having a slot in the lower arm for the upper jaw.
Hand tool with shear assembly
A hand tool includes a first handle forming a channel, and a second handle including a cutting member. A linkage is attached in pivotal arrangement to the first handle at the channel and to a cutting blade. The cutting blade is attached in pivotal arrangement to the second handle. The first handle is pivotally attached to the second handle via a fastener. The first handle includes a first portion, and a second portion includes a handle grip. The first portion extends substantially along a first reference axis, and the second portion extends substantially along a second reference axis. The first reference axis and the second reference axis extend at an acute angle relative to one another. The channel extends substantially along the first reference axis at the first portion.
Geared lopper with additional leverage
A geared lopper has a cam lever arm on an upper handle with a fixed rear bracket thereon where the fixed rear bracket is attached onto a hook jaw and the other end has a bolt attachment point; a hook jaw has the bolt attachment point on a stub end and distal from a jaw thereon, said hook jaw is on the front end, a front bracket is attached thereon near the jaw with a pivot between the hook jaw and the front bracket; a cutting blade is attached to the hook jaw near a front bracket through a pivot thereon, a rear pivot on the cutting blade attaches to an only pivot on the gear lever arm; and a gear lever arm is on a lower handle, the rear pivot on the cutting blade attaches to the pivot on the gear lever arm.
