A transfer pump configured to move a hydraulic fluid in a hydraulic fluid management system of a hydraulic system of a vehicle including a transmission. In one embodiment, the transfer pump moves the fluid from a differential case to a hydraulic reservoir coupled to the transmission. The transfer pump is a positive displacement pump including an unloading device, such as a sealing plate, that is resiliently biased against the pump during a normal operation but is moved away from the pump upon the application of a pilot pressure. The result is an open chamber for the pump gears to turn without developing pressure, to thereby reduce parasitic losses.

The pump is rotated using a planetary gear transmission, where an eccentric shaft is operatively connected to the planetary gear mechanism. A rotor is rotationally fixed to the eccentric shaft and movably positioned within rotor housing. The rotor has three lobes, where each lobe has two peripheral curved surfaces sharing a common apex, where a first portion of each peripheral surface adjacent to the apex defines a non-smooth curve.

The switching valve is formed in a housing and is hydraulically connected to a first pressure adjusting device and a second pressure adjusting device along with a shift element for transferring a certain torque. The switching valve is formed as a directional seat valve.

Motor-pump unit

A motor pump unit comprises an electric motor and a reversible internal gear machine. The latter has a multi-part housing in which an externally toothed pinion and an internally toothed hollow gear are arranged. A free space, in which a multi-part filler element is arranged, is configured between the gears. The filler element comprises radially movable sealing segments, between which a radial gap is configured. An axially movable sealing plate is arranged between axial faces of the gears and a housing part. This has a sealing plate control groove that is open to the faces of the gears and that can be pressurized, and which is open to the radial gap and located directly opposite thereto. The pinion segment and/or hollow gear segment has a radial sealing segment control channel that can be pressurized and extends transversely, is open to the radial gap, and ends directly in the radial gap.
