In a rotating pump having at least one driven conveying element which is arranged in a product space, flowed through by the product to be conveyed, and is driven by means of a shaft which protrudes into the product space from the outside, the shaft being sealed with respect to a wall of the product space, the seal is configured as a slide ring seal to be mounted on the product side with an outer positively locking positional securing means.

Sealing for a pump device

In a hollow seal member kept in abutted-engagement with a shaft hole formed in a housing via an elastic body and kept in sliding-contact with an outer circumference of a drive shaft for sealing against a leakage of fluid from a pump chamber, the seal member is provided with a seal part formed within an area at one end and kept in sliding-contact with the outer circumference of the drive shaft over a given hollow inner circumferential surface, and a rotation-stopping part formed within an area at the other end for restricting a movement of the seal member in a rotation direction of the drive shaft. A rotational resistance of the rotation-stopping part to the drive shaft is set to be less than a rotational resistance of the seal part.

Internal gear pump with improved communication between inlet and idler and between inlet and rotor

This document discloses an internal gear pump with a symmetrical casing and a head design that enables high pumping speeds, reduced turbulence and reduced risk or occurrence of cavitation. The head includes a boss that extends into the pump chamber to form an idler support and a crescent support. The crescent support includes a liquid directing step that extends from the crescent arcuately towards the inlet. The liquid directing step divides liquid incoming from the inlet into a portion directed to an idler feed slot and another portion directed to a rotor feed slot. The idler feed slot provides communication between the inlet and the roots of the idler and the rotor feed slot provides communication between the inlet and spaces between the rotor teeth.

System and method for providing a continuous flow of catalyst into a polyolefin reactor

Both a catalyst feed system and a method are provided for providing a flow, of a mud-like catalyst slurry into a polyolefin reactor. The system includes a pressurized reservoir of the catalyst having an outlet, and a progressive cavity pump including a stator and a rotor. The pump stator has an inlet connected to the reservoir outlet, and an outlet leading to the polyolefin reactor. In operation, the reservoir is first pressurized to a level a little higher than the pressure of the reactor. The outlet of the reservoir is opened and the progressive cavity pump is actuated. The pressure drop generated across the catalyst slurry contained in the reservoir by the pump causes the slurry diluent to flow between the interstices of the particles of catalyst. The thick, mud-like catalyst slurry is quickly transformed into a much less viscous, syrup-like slurry that flows from the reservoir outlet to the inlet of the pump stator. The progressive cavity pump then continuously conveys the catalyst through the stator outlet and into the reactor.

Rotating pumping apparatus with seal mechanism

A rotating pumping apparatus is provided which may be employed in an automotive brake system. The rotating pumping apparatus includes a sealing member and a pressure member. The sealing member is disposed around a pump drive shaft. The pressure member includes a plate spring, a first rotation stopper, and a second rotation stopper. The first rotation stopper serves to stop the pressure member from rotating following rotation of the pump drive shaft. The second rotation stopper engages the seal ring to stop the sealing member from rotating following the rotation of the pump drive shaft. The plate spring works to elastically press the sealing member against a stopper wall of a pump casing to stop the sealing member from moving in an axial direction of the pump drive shaft.

PUMP MOTOR FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE FLUIDS

A motorized pump assembly includes a pump and a motor for driving the pump. The pump includes a pump housing that at least in part defines a pump chamber. The motor includes a stator, a rotor rotatable about an axis, a motor housing, and a bearing assembly. The rotor includes a motor shaft extending along the axis. The motor housing includes an endshield that at least in part defines a motor chamber in which the stator and the rotor are at least substantially received. The bearing assembly rotatably supports the motor shaft on the endshield. The pump housing and the endshield are fixed to one another and cooperatively at least in part define an overflow chamber adjacent the pump chamber. The endshield defines a drainage channel fluidly interconnected with the overflow chamber and configured to direct fluid from the overflow chamber away from the bearing assembly.
