HEATING/COOLING SYSTEM FOR INDWELLING HEAT EXCHANGE CATHETER
A cooling system for an indwelling heat exchange catheter includes a heat exchange bath that is configured to receive a conduit that carries saline to and from the catheter. A heating/cooling fluid is in the bath and exchanges heat with the saline. The heating/cooling fluid flows through a heat exchanger that includes a refrigerant and two variable speed DC compressor for removing heat from the refrigerant. A gear pump circulates the working fluid to and from the catheter and is removably engaged with a pump support platform.
DUAL INTEGRATED ORGANIC WORKING FLUID PUMP
A pump includes a housing, a drive shaft, a centrifugal pump portion having an impeller, and a gear pump portion having first and second gears. The impeller and one of the first and second gears are mounted to the drive shaft to drive the centrifugal pump portion and the gear pump portion at the same rotational speed. The gear pump can be a crescent internal gear (CIG) pump. The drive shaft can be rotated by a magnetic drive. The drive shaft can include a longitudinal bore in fluid communication with a cavity in the magnetic drive and with a discharge of the centrifugal pump portion to circulate working fluid through the magnetic drive to cool the drive. An impeller can be coupled to an inlet of the centrifugal pump portion.
APPARATUS FOR DRIVING FLUID HAVING A ROTATING CAM AND ROCKER ARM
An apparatus for driving fluid includes a housing having an interior chamber in communication with a fluid inlet for receiving the fluid and a fluid outlet for expelling the fluid, a cam rotatably mounted within the interior chamber, the cam configured to drive fluid to flow, the cam having an annular channel formed therein, a working vane extending into the annular channel for sliding therein as the cam rotates, wherein the working vane divides the annular channel into an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber such that, as the cam rotates, the inlet chamber expands and the outlet chamber contracts, a follower vane extending into the annular channel for sliding therein as the cam rotates, wherein the follower vane allows fluid to pass in he annular channel, and a rocker arm for providing dependent motion between the working vane and the follower vane.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SEALING ROTATING EQUIPMENT SUCH AS EXPANDERS OR COMPRESSORS
Technologies for managing pressure across one or more chamber seals in machines handling process fluids. The machine includes a pressure chamber and another pressure chamber, both of which are pressurized by the process fluid. The pressure differential between these chambers is maintained by one or more chamber seals. Dynamic coupled elements may be configured within the pressure chamber and/or the other pressure chamber. The other pressure chamber is fluidly connected to a lower-pressure point via a pressure balancing line, facilitating controlled fluid flow through the seals. The induced pressure differential directs a cascading flow of process fluid from the pressure chamber to the other pressure chamber, and subsequently to the lower-pressure point. This arrangement improves pressure regulation, fluid flow management, and seal efficiency, enhancing the overall performance of various machines and industrial applications.
Three stage scroll vacuum pump
A three stage vacuum pump has three stages of fixed scrolls and orbiting scrolls that operate simultaneously. A motor drives the second orbiting scroll within the third fixed scroll upon three equally spaced idlers. One idler then transmits rotation and torque into the second stage. The second orbiting scroll has involutes upon both surfaces to engage the second fixed scroll inwardly and the first fixed scroll outwardly. The first fixed scroll has fins upon its back that extend into the atmosphere to transfer heat to air cool the pump. This pump also has a fan accelerating heat transfer. The pump operates the scrolls directly from a motor or from a motor and magnetic coupling so that the atmosphere does not infiltrate the pump.
Air gap magnetic coupling with thermal isolation
A magnetic coupling assembly includes a thermal isolation system that isolates the assembly from a heat source such as a pump coupled to a driven side of the assembly, thereby enabling the assembly to operate at a reduced temperature. The system may include a labyrinth seal that reduces convective heat transfer to the assembly. The seal may include a sealing gap defined between a rotating component and a stationary component. The gap is sized to limit gas conductance therethrough. The system may also include one or more spacers positioned to reduce or eliminate conductive heat transfer from one component to another. The assembly may be utilized in a pump for contactless coupling of a motor shaft to a pump shaft.
Electric pump
An electric pump includes a case, and a motor that includes a rotor and a stator and is surrounded by the case. The case includes an introduction pipe portion for introducing a fluid and a discharge pipe portion for discharging the fluid. The rotor is disposed in a space surrounded by the case and the stator and communicating with the introduction pipe portion and the discharge pipe portion. The rotor includes a first blade member, a second blade member, and a relay portion. An outer diameter of the relay portion is smaller than an outer diameter of at least one of the first and second blade members. The relay portion is positioned between the first blade member and the second blade member.
