A fuel boost pump assembly for an aircraft includes a first inlet for receiving a first pressurized fuel flow, a second inlet, an assembly outlet, a pump for transferring fuel between the second inlet and the assembly outlet, and a hydraulic motor adapted to drive the pump. The hydraulic motor is fluidly connected between the first inlet and the assembly outlet, and is mechanically coupled to the pump. Further, in use, the hydraulic motor converts hydraulic energy of the first pressurized fuel flow into driving energy of the pump such that the pump generates a second pressurized fuel flow between the second inlet and the assembly outlet.

A fuel pump system for an aerial refueling system including: a variable displacement motor operable to be driven by a hydraulic fluid pressure; a fuel pump operable to be driven by the variable displacement motor; and a drive system controller (DSC) connected to the variable displacement motor, wherein the DSC is operable to direct an operation of the fuel pump in modes comprising: a flow control mode operable to maintain an output fuel flow rate from the fuel pump to a predetermined maximum inlet pressure at a reception coupling for a receiver aircraft; a fuel pressure control mode operable to regulate the output fuel flow rate to not exceed the predetermined maximum inlet pressure; and a priority mode operable to reduce the output fuel flow rate in response to a decrease in the hydraulic pressure. A system for distributing particulate material from an agricultural machine includes a fan configured to provide an airflow in a supply line for distributing particulate material, a hydraulic system configured to drive the fan at a plurality of fan speeds, and a control system configured to control the hydraulic system. The control system executes a program stored in a non-transient medium operable to: determine a given product application rate for distributing the particulate material; determine a given ground speed of the agricultural machine; determine a fan speed for achieving the given product application rate at the given ground speed; and control the hydraulic system to drive the fan at the fan speed.

A tank for transporting and spraying a liquid having a plurality of walls forming a receptacle configured to receive the liquid and a pump system supported by at least one of the plurality of walls. The pump system has a liquid end and a power frame with at least a portion of the power frame being disposed in the receptacle. In some implementations, the tank has a reservoir disposed in proximity to one of the plurality of walls. The reservoir provides a working fluid to the portion of the power frame disposed in the receptacle.

A disclosed submersible pump apparatus includes a three-dimensional frame, a pump housing, a drive shaft, an impeller, and first and second motors. The impeller is mounted on the driveshaft within the pump housing and is driven by one or both of the motors. The first motor is connected to a first end of the drive shaft and the second motor connected a second end of the drive shaft. The first and second motors are hydraulic motors and in a first configuration, the first and second motors are configured to cooperatively rotate the drive shaft with hydraulic fluid supplied to and removed from the first and second motors using a parallel fluidic connection. In a second configuration, only one of the motors has a drive gear and drives the drive shaft while the second motor does not have a drive gear and acts as a frictionless bearing supporting the drive shaft.
