The present invention relates to a pump apparatus. The pump apparatus includes: an impeller (1) in which a permanent magnet (5) is embedded; a pump casing (2) which houses the impeller (1); a motor stator (6) having a plurality of stator coils (6B); a motor casing (3) which houses the motor stator (6); a bearing assembly (10) which supports the impeller (1); a vibration sensor (30) for detecting a vibration of the bearing assembly (10); and a controller (29) connected to the vibration sensor (30). The controller (29) calculates the rate of change in the vibration based on the vibration detected by the vibration sensor (30) and, when the rate of change in the vibration is higher than a predetermined threshold value, performs at least one of an operation to stop the supply of electric current to the motor stator (6) and an operation to trigger an alarm.

A pump section includes a pump section having a pumping element coupled to the armature such that rotation of the armature rotates the pumping element such that the pumping element pumps fluid from the fluid inlet to a pump section outlet of the pump section. A fluid passage within the fluid pump provides fluid communication from the pump section outlet to the fluid pump outlet such that the armature in part defines the fluid passage. The armature includes blades arranged in a polar array centered about the axis such that each of the blades extends in a helix about the axis and such that the blades define chambers. The chambers are in constant fluid communication with the pump section outlet.

A fluid passage within the fluid pump provides fluid communication from the pump section outlet to the fluid pump outlet such that the fluid passage is radially between the armature and the stator. The armature includes a surface of which faces toward the pump section and includes a plurality of recesses extending thereinto.

An impeller mountable within a centrifugal compressor includes a hub having a front side and a back side, the hub being rotatable about an axis of rotation and a plurality of vanes extending outwardly from the front side of the hub such that a plurality of passages is defined between adjacent vanes. The plurality of vanes is oriented such that a flow output from the plurality of passages adjacent the back side of the impeller is arranged at an angle to the axis of rotation of less than 20 degrees.

INTEGRATED ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPING SYSTEM WITH ELECTROMAGNETICALLY DRIVEN IMPELLER

A technique facilitates pumping of various fluids such as well fluids. An electric submersible pumping system is constructed with an outer housing which contains an integrated pump and motor. The pump may comprise an impeller disposed within a stator of the motor. The integration of the pump and the motor enables elimination of various components of traditional electric submersible pumping systems to thus provide a simpler and more compact system for pumping fluids.

The stator has windings that when powered create an electromagnetic field into the stator cavity. A pump has a landed position within the stator cavity. The pump having a non-rotating pump portion and a rotating pump portion. Magnets mount on the rotating pump portion and impart rotation to the rotating pump portion in response to the electromagnetic field. A neck on a downstream end of the pump has a running and retrieval feature for engagement by a running and retrieving tool to retrieve the pump from and install the pump in the landed position.

The system includes a position control mechanism for moving the impeller in an axial direction within the pump chamber to adjust a size of a first gap and a size of a second gap, thereby controlling a washout rate at each of the first gap and the second gap. The first gap is defined by a distance between the first side and the housing and the second gap is defined by a distance between the second side and the pump housing.

The circuit board is disposed on any of the top section, the bottom section and the peripheral section. The driver is disposed in the pump chamber. At least one magnetic member is disposed on the driver in a position corresponding to the winding, whereby the magnetic member can induce and magnetize the winding on the circuit board. The heat exchange member is connected with the pump case. By means of the structural design of the water-cooling device, the volume of the water-cooling device is greatly minified and the structure of the water-cooling device is thinned.
