The bottom portion includes a heat conduction wall formed of material including heat conductivity which is higher than heat conductivity of the housing. The housing includes a space portion formed with a flow path configured to allow the fluid to flow into the space portion and flow out of the space portion after the fluid is in contact with an inner surface of the heat conduction wall.

An inverter housing connected to the motor housing and has a where an electronics control unit (ECU) connects through the inverter housing to selectively supply power to the motor within the motor housing. The recess and the ECU are covered and sealed off from the elements by a plastic cover. In order to obtain a low profile of the electric pump arrangement so it can fit within a desired packaging line on a transmission casing a metal bracket is over molded into the plastic cover. The metal bracket has at least one exposed surface that engages the inverter housing to hold the plastic cover onto the inverter housing in a position so that the plastic cover covers and seals the ECU and recess at the second side of the inverter housing.

A terminal box for a centrifugal pump is releasably connectable to an electronic extension module by a locking element. A pluggable electric interface extends through an opening from an underside of the base plate into the terminal box to electrically connect the pump control for establishing a data link. The locking element is slidable in the cavity and is movable manually from a first position to a second position and by a tool from this second position to this first position. It also has on a first side a resilient latch engaging with either a first recess of the terminal box and holding the locking element in the first position, or a second recess of the terminal box holding the locking element in the second position. Thus the locking element frees the module for plugging-in in the first position, and arrests the module in the second position.

An electronic functional module for control electronics of a centrifugal pump assembly has a functional unit that adds an additional function to the control electronics, and the control electronics has operating software with a graphical user interface for settings of the centrifugal pump assembly whose appearance is defined by image frame data. The functional module transmits values of attributes that describe properties of at least one variable of the functional unit to the control electronics, and the control electronics generates, as a function of the attribute values using the image frame data and according to a set of rules, screen views that are independent of the operating software and that supplement the user interface at least temporarily. These screen views, including a value of the variable integrated into one of the screen views, are shown on a display.

A plug-in electronic expansion module for pump electronics of a centrifugal pump for expanding the pump electronics with at least one additional function has a housing having a lower face and connecting formations thereon for attachment to a pump housing of the pump electronics. Electronics in the module housing provide the additional function. A base is provided on the lower face, and an electrical interface connected to the pump electronics includes a flat support projecting tongue-like from the base on the lower face of the module housing through an opening in the pump housing and carrying contact-forming electrical traces.

A method of balancing a heating system with a flow system, including a supply flow line (60) and a return flow line (70), a heat source (55) and a pump (10) hydraulic lines (L.sub.1-L.sub.n), some having a heating element (H.sub.1-H.sub.n) with a balancing valve (V.sub.1-V.sub.n). The method includes: carrying out one or more measurements by opening one hydraulic line only and determining a flow rate through the pump and a pressure difference across the pump, establishing a hydraulic model based on the determined flow rate and pressure difference from at least two measurements from step, and at least one additional measurement for at least two hydraulic lines, specifying a desired flow rate for each of the hydraulic lines, and adjusting one or more of the dedicated balancing valves in order to meet the desired flow rate for each of the hydraulic lines by using the hydraulic model.

Certain embodiments of the present application relate to a variable frequency drive (VFD) cabin for a pump configuration including a mobile trailer on which the VFD cabin is to be mounted. The VFD cabin generally includes a medium-voltage VFD and a ventilation system. In certain embodiments, the ventilation system is configured to generate an overpressure condition within the cabin to discourage the entry of dust and debris into the cabin. In certain embodiments, one or more components of the medium-voltage VFD are coupled to the floor of the cabin via a vibration damping system. In certain embodiments, the VFD cabin may be directly coupled to a chassis of the mobile trailer without an intervening suspension being provided between the VFD cabin and the chassis.

A drive mechanism is installed on the pump body for driving liquid from the inlet into the inner cavity and discharge from the outlet. The pump body includes a base, an upper cover, and a sealing ring sandwiched between the base and the upper cover. One of the base and the upper cover includes a first circular groove surrounding the inner cavity for arranging the sealing ring; and the other of the base and the upper cover includes at least one circular waterproof step embedded in the first circular groove.
