Formulations and products to replace single-use plastics and polystyrene with bio-benign materials such as agricultural wastes
The present invention provides methods for preparing the nut waste composites from a nut waste component, one or more binders, and an oil using a compounder/extruder.
In-ground seed starting apparatus and method
A device for promoting plant seedling growth and increasing the germination rate of planted seeds provides for a growing medium, such as potting soil, to be introduced to the device and retained therein. The seeds can then be positioned within the device which is configured to prevent loss of the seeds (due to washout) and promote the germination rate of the seeds. Once the seedlings have achieved a requisite height and root structure, the device can be removed leaving behind a portion of the device forming a labeling tab.

Biodegradable urn planting system
The biodegradable urn planting system, also called a LIVING URN, is an apparatus capable of rapid degradation in soil that the user can fill with cremated remains, a pH neutralizing and sodium diluting material, soil, planting mix, wood chips, and a living plant (seedling or bare root stock). When one loses a loved one, it is often difficult to discern what to do with the remains (be they human or animal). Many towns and cities do not allow for burial, and storage of cremated remains can be problematic. The present invention seeks to provide a meaningful and tangible way for one to remember the loved one when the cremated remains are buried with a seedling that may be drop shipped and is appropriate for the environment of use. Thus, the seedling grows into a tree, providing comfort and a reminder of the deceased.
Habbag Natural fibre Planter Bag -Pot and Geotextile fabric
The invention relates to a non-woven textile fabric of one or a combination of wool, hemp, cotton, cellulose and or other natural fibres, treated with a natural water proofing and fungicide solution for planter bags and pots. The planter bag or pot fabric enables superior air pruning of the plant roots. The bag or pot can be directly planted into the ground with the plant and biodegrades.
AERIAL DEPLOYMENT PLANTING METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Methods and systems are presented for making good use of recently obtained biometric data and for configuring propagule capsules for deployment via an unmanned vehicle so that each has an improved chance of survival.
BIO-DEGRADABLE COMPOSITIONS AND USE THEREOF
A bio-degradable plant pot having calcium carbonate. And a method for preparing a rooting plug. The method calls for mixing a composition having (i) 0.2%-10% w/w bio-degradable polymer and (ii) an organic non-hydroxylic solvent with plug mix, thereby preparing a rooting plug.
IN-GROUND ROOT PROTECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method and system for protecting roots of plants, including: an encasement disposed in a hole formed in soil, the encasement serves as a barrier between contents of the encasement and the soil surrounding the hole; and a feeding means, for communicating sustenance to roots of at least one plant disposed in the encasement.
Mixture for biodegradable articles
The present invention provides a mixture based on at least one organic waste component having particles that are equal to or smaller than 2 mm., at least one organic adhesive component and at least one organic plasticizer or emulsifying agent, for the manufacture of biodegradable planting pots. The invention also provides a method for automatically planting a plant, by using a container fitted for automatic planting, filled with the biodegradable planting pots of the invention.
Apparatus for line production of plant growth medium pots or bags
A process for line production of plant growth medium pots or bags with a closed bottom end includes the steps of: i) continuously folding the free end of a continuous length of water and air permeable sheet material into a sheet material tube around and beyond a free end of a growth medium feeding tube; ii) forming a first sealing in the sheet material tube; iii) filling the sheet material tube with a measured amount of growth medium; iv) forming a second sealing in the sheet material tube; v) separating the part of the sheet material tube positioned downstream from the second sealing to form a first plant growth medium pot or bag with a closed end, repeating as needed to form a plurality of plant growth medium pots or bags.
