SELECTION OF NEW VARIETIES OF CANNABIS PLANTS EXPRESSING CANNABINOIDS BY CELL CULTURE
A method for generating new varieties of Cannabis plants with modified growth and cannabinoid phytochemical profiles includes subjecting plant parts of one or more Cannabis plants to pectinase digestion to release plant cells, centrifuging the released plant cells to obtain pelleted cells, and providing the pelleted cells on culture media. The pelleted cells are plated on a first culture media, which is a Murashige and Skoog or Gamborg B5 callus culture media.
Plant growing system and methods of using the same
Exemplary embodiments relate to a seed planting system that incorporates an outer shell, a plant growing or rooting media, seed(s), fertilizer, and a lid, as well as methods of using this planting system. Exemplary embodiments also relate to an indoor growing unit which is configured for use with the seed planting system.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DECOMPOSITION OF CORROSION-RESISTANT PAPER
There is provided: a method for controlling corrosion-resistant paper with easy decomposability, whereby the paper has corrosion resistance against decomposition due to microorganisms in soil when raising seedlings, the paper retains satisfactory strength during agricultural planting, and desired decomposability is given to the paper after planting or after harvest of crops; and a method for producing corrosion-resistant paper with controlled decomposability. The controlling method is subjected to corrosion-resistant paper containing paper with cellulose fibers and a carboxylic acid crosslinking agent at least partially bonded to each other, the controlling method including a step for treating the corrosion-resistant paper with alkali; and the producing method comprises a step for applying a processing solution containing a carboxylic acid crosslinking agent to paper containing cellulose fibers, a step for subjecting the paper to a heating treatment, and a step for treating the paper undergone the heating treatment with an alkali.
Fabric Pot
A fabric pot for growing media having a base and an upstanding side wall. The side wall has a lower section made from a porous fabric material and an upper section being made from a waterproof material layer.
GARDEN SEED PLANTER
A garden seed planter that displays a color for identifying the type of garden product that will be produced by a plant from a seed contained in a starch capsule of the garden seed planter. In a preferred lollipop form embodiment at least a portion of the garden seed planter starch capsule has a colored coating that is substantially the same color as the garden product produced by the plant to be grown from the seed, and there is a planter stake attached to the seed capsule having a portion that also displays substantially the same color as the garden product.
Plant Assembly, a Container, an Area of Ground, a Breeding System, a Rooted Plant Assembly, a Substrate and Methods
The invention relates to a container carrying a rooted plant having a root structure. The container further contains an amount of hydrogel such that at least a portion of the root structure or at least a portion of a substrate penetrated by the root structure is submerged into the hydrogel. Preferably, a bottom of the substrate penetrated by the root structure is dipped into the amount of hydrogel.
IMPROVED BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITION AND THEIR METHODS FOR MANUFACTURE
Forms of the technology relate to a biodegradable composition including at least one biobased or partially biobased polymer and at least one filler comprising processed organic matter wherein the filler is adapted to provide mechanical stiffness to the composition and/or provide one or more nutrient(s) to soil upon degradation of the composition in soil. The at least one biobased or partially biobased polymer may comprise a combination of polymers including polybutylene succinate (PBS) and polylactic acid (PLA). The filler may include processed organic matter obtained from animal matter, for example animal carcasses. Forms of the technology relate to the use of such a biodegradable composition for the manufacture of a container for plants.
Biodegradable Plant Container with Tear Strips
A biodegradable plant container has side tear strips extending from its top opening to its bottom. The tear strips are hinged near the bottom and fan out to establish a diameter for a planting hole. The inside surface of the tear strips as root slicers that tease the roots of a root ball in the plant container when the tear strips are pulled outward and fanned out. The fanned out tear strips establish the diameter for the planting hole. The plant container also has a depth index to establish the proper planting depth. Once the tear strips have been opened and fanned out, the biodegradable plant container is planted directly in the soil where it will degrade.
Biodegradable planter pots comprising starch and an outer silicon layer
Biodegradable planter pots constructed from starch and an outer silicon layer. The starch provides a biodegradable and/or compostable characteristic to the pot, allowing it to be broken down into the soil after the pot has been planted. The outer silicon layer provides durability to the pots, allowing them to retain their shape for an additional period of time and withstand handling, while also retaining the biodegradable characteristics of the pots. Advantageously, the pots allow seedlings and seeds to be directly deposited into the soil, while also providing structure to the plant for the initial growth period. Advantageously, the pots provide a stable structural support that is hardy and/or water-resistant but can also being broken down as the plant grows.
Garden seed planter
A garden seed planter that displays a color for identifying the type of garden product that will be produced by a plant from a seed contained in a capsule of the garden seed planter. In a preferred lollipop form embodiment at least a portion of the garden seed planter capsule has a colored coating that is substantially the same color as the garden product produced by the plant to be grown from the seed, and there is a planter stake attached to the seed capsule having a portion that also displays substantially the same color as the garden product.
