PUMP DEVICE HAVING A DETECTION DEVICE
The invention relates to a pump device having a pump (8) and an energy supply device (5, 18), wherein the pump has a conveying element (9, 11) which conveys a fluid by means of supplied energy, wherein the pump has a transport state and an operating state, and wherein at least one first element (9, 9a, 10, 10, 11) of the pump has a different shape and/or size in the transport state than in the operating slate. The operating safety of such a pump device is increased by a detection device (12, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29) which detects whether at least the first element is in the operating state with respect to shape and/or size by means of a sensor.
FLOW CONTROLLER
The present invention relates to a flow controller configured to selectively act as a pump or as a flow regulator. The flow controller comprises: an inlet for a fluid; an outlet for the fluid; a pump assembly arranged between the inlet and the outlet and configured to pump the fluid through the flow controller from the inlet to the outlet; a hydro electrical generator assembly arranged between the inlet and the outlet, the hydro electrical generator assembly configured to allow the fluid flow through the flow controller from the inlet to the outlet and to generate electricity by transforming flow energy of the fluid flowing through the flow controller into electricity; and a mode controller configured to selectively set the flow controller in a pumping mode or in an electricity generating mode.

Methods and systems for detecting and correcting improper operation of a compressor in a refrigeration system and/or an HVAC system include a component level detection and prevention and a system level detection and prevention. The system level detection and prevention can be a backup or a confirmation of the component level detection and prevention. The component level detection and prevention can detect and prevent improper compressor operation within a predetermined time so that the compressor's operation period in an improper direction can be minimized, thereby minimizing wear and damage to the compressor.
Method of Controlling a Pump and Motor
A variable frequency drive system and a method of controlling a pump driven by a motor with the pump in fluid communication with a fluid system is provided. The method includes monitoring a pressure in the fluid system, monitoring and adjusting an operating frequency of the motor to maintain the pressure at a pressure set point, and, based on the monitored operating frequency, causing the pump to temporarily boost the pressure in the fluid system to a temporary boost set point for a first time period. The method also includes determining whether the temporarily boosted pressure in the fluid system stays above the pressure set point for a second time period and causing the pump to enter a sleep mode when the temporarily boosted pressure stays above the pressure set point through the second time period.
Method of controlling a pump and motor
A variable frequency drive system and a method of controlling a pump driven by a motor with the pump in fluid communication with a fluid system is provided. The method includes monitoring a pressure in the fluid system, monitoring and adjusting an operating frequency of the motor to maintain the pressure at a pressure set point, and, based on the monitored operating frequency, causing the pump to temporarily boost the pressure in the fluid system to a temporary boost set point for a first time period. The method also includes determining whether the temporarily boosted pressure in the fluid system stays above the pressure set point for a second time period and causing the pump to enter a sleep mode when the temporarily boosted pressure stays above the pressure set point through the second time period.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A PUMP CONNECTED TO A PUMP NETWORK
A method for controlling a pump in connection with first activation of the individual pump following a connection of the individual pump to a power supply. The pump is configured to be connected to a Pump Network including a plurality of pumps. When connecting the individual pump to the power supply, the method includes causing the individual pump to remain deactivated, determining a value of at least one Operational parameter (OP) of the individual pump, determining a Reference input value (RIV) based on the determined value of the at least one Operational parameter (OP), utilizing the determined Reference input value (RIV) in a Random pause time function (RF) and obtaining a random Activation pause time (APT) as an output from the Random pause time function (RF), and permitting activation of the individual pump after the Activation pause time (APT) has elapsed.

VARIABLE SPEED PUMPING CONTROL SYSTEM WITH ACTIVE TEMPERATURE AND VIBRATION MONITORING AND CONTROL MEANS
Apparatus, including a pump system, features a controller having a signal processor or processing module configured to: receive signaling containing information about a relationship between frequencies of pump vibration resonances detected around critical pump speeds and a 3-dimensional pump vibration power spectrum in the frequency domain with respect to pump speed and pump temperature change differences; and determine corresponding signaling containing information to adjust the pump speed to avoid the pump vibration resonances around the critical pump speeds, based upon the signaling received.
The signal processor or processing module is also configured to provide the corresponding signaling as control signaling to adjust the pump speed.
Pump selection using dynamic priority numbers
A control system includes a processor with pump data for a parallel connected plurality of pumps in a database of an associated memory for implementing a dynamic priority number (DPN)-based pump selection algorithm for a method of pump selection for the plurality of pumps. The method includes calculating a DPN using pump data regarding a plurality of pump parameters for each of the plurality of pumps. The DPNs are dynamically updated when at least one of the pump parameters changes. The DPNs are used together with a current pump demand to dynamically select which of the pumps are to be turned on or off, and the dynamic selection is implemented. The DPNs can be calculated using a DPN equation.
CIRCULATION PUMP ASSEMBLY
A circulation pump assembly (22) includes an electrical drive motor (10) and an electronic control device (12) controlling the drive motor (10). The control device (12) is configured for the speed control of the drive motor (10) according to a control schema (I, II, III). The control device (12) includes a detection function (42) which is configured to detect a condition variable representing an operating condition, from a parallel flow path (16, 18, 20) with a second circulation pump assembly (22). The control device (12) is also configured such that it can change the control schema (I, II, III) on the basis of a condition variable detected by the detection function (42). Further an arrangement of at least two such circulation pump assemblies (22) and a method for the control of such two circulation pump assemblies (22) are provided.
