Plant carrier
A plant propagation cell carrier (1) having a frame (2) with plant cell compartments (3) for receiving a plant cell of fibrous web material, wherein each plant cell compartment has opposing pairs of side walls (5, 6; 7, 8) forming an essentially open upper end (2A) and a partly open bottom end (3B) of the plant cell compartments (3), whereby the plant cell compartments consist of a plant cell basket (10) having side walls each being a continuation of the opposing side walls of the plant cell compartments (3) and each of the side walls of the plant cell baskets is formed of a number of spaced slender ribs (9) extending from an upper end (3A) of the plant cell baskets to the bottom end (3B) of the plant cell baskets of the plant cell compartments and whereby completely open areas (11, 12) are formed in the plant cell baskets, between the adjacent ribs and in corner areas (13) of the plant cell baskets.
BLOCK STORAGE ELEMENT WITH FLUID TRANSFER AND OVERFLOW MECHANISM
A block storage element which is used for the propagation of vegetable or fungal biomass and is stackable. To enhance functionality of the block storage element, the block storage element includes a fluid reservoir with an overflow mechanism.
SEEDLING STARTER TRAY CONVENIENT FOR TRANSPLANTING
A seedling starter tray convenient for transplanting includes a tray body and seedling transfer holders. The tray body includes a plurality of connected seedling culture cells arrayed longitudinally and horizontally. The seedling transfer holder in the seedling culture cell is similar to a bottom of the seedling culture cell and entirely fits the bottom of the seedling culture cell. After seedling culture is finished, a lumpy substrate wrapping a seedling needs to be transferred. Particularly, the seedling transfer holder is pushed out of the seedling culture cell with fingers or auxiliary tools via the through hole in the bottom of the seedling culture cell, and then is removed to perform transplanting of the seedling. Through the seedling starter tray, the seedling can be prevented from being damaged when transplanted, thereby improving the survival rate of the transplanted seedling.
In-ground agricultural liquid capture tray and agricultural liquid conservation system
A liquid capture tray and conservation system for capturing agricultural liquids which would otherwise be wasted and could contaminate groundwater. The liquid capture tray has a tray body and a reservoir matrix across the tray body. The reservoir matrix has a plurality of adjacent interconnected concave liquid capture cups, each with a sidewall and bottom wall defining an upwardly disposed reservoir. The tray is positioned below the root zone of a plant growing area to capture liquids that pass through the root zone into the reservoirs of the cups. Apertures in the tray body allow excess liquids to drain from the tray. A connecting mechanism can be utilized to connect two trays together. Cut-outs in the sidewalls of the cups allow liquid to move from one cup to another to disperse liquid across the reservoir matrix. The system includes a growing area, root zone, liquid and liquid capture tray.
Plant pallet
A plant pallet has a plurality of wells arranged in rows and columns to receive leafy tree seedlings. The wells each have a well bottom with at least one drainage opening. The well bottom of each well merges laterally into a peripheral side wall. A top side of the plant pallet is formed by side walls of adjacent wells merging into one another. To prevent lateral rooting being impaired or adversely affected by the side wall, protrusions which extend further upwards are arranged on the top side such that they partially continue the side walls upwards.
Plumbing arrangement for hydroponic growing system
A hydroponic growing system is presented. The system can include multiple growing trays in a vertical arrangement, where a pump supplies the top-most tray and each lower tray is supplied by the overlying tray, and where the plumbing elements for supply and drainage are arranged to one side of the system. The system includes variations to support different crop types within the same system, including removable growing structures for root vegetable, microgreens and supports for vining crops. The system can monitor and adjust the nutrients and other features of the systems water profile to concurrently group multiple crops in differing developing stages.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PLANTING TREES
A method and system for planting seedlings including a seedling handling system, a seedling chute system and a planting head. The method includes retrieving a row of seedlings and then delivering the row of seedlings to the planting head for individual planting of the seedlings.
A VASE FOR PLANTS OR SHRUBS
A vase for plants or shrubs has a tubular-shaped lateral wall and a base with a first and a second plurality of through-holes, respectively, enabling exit of roots. The lateral wall in transversal section is star-shaped and forms a first plurality of internal cusps and a first plurality of external cusps, each through-hole of the first plurality of through-holes being arranged at a respective one of the external cusps. The vase has a first wall and a second wall which connect one of the internal cusps with an immediately-following one of the external cusps. The first wall and the second wall are mutually contiguous and form there-between an internal angle of less than 180°.
