Erosion resistant blades for compressors
An impeller blade that includes an impeller blade body constructed of a first material. The impeller blade body defines a leading edge that faces a direction of rotation. A second material couples to the leading edge. The second material is a more erosion resistant material than the first material. The second material extends over the leading edge a distance to absorb high angle impacts of droplets and/or particulate. A third material couples to at least a portion of the impeller blade body.
BALANCING AXIAL THRUST IN SUBMERSIBLE WELL PUMPS
A fluid rotor and a fluid stator. The fluid stator surrounds the fluid rotor. The fluid stator has an intake end and a discharge end. The fluid stator is shaped to be inserted into a wellbore. A shaft passes through a rotational axis of the fluid rotor. The shaft is attached to the fluid rotor to rotate in union with the fluid rotor. The shaft defines a central fluid passage that extends from the intake end of the fluid rotor to the discharge end of the fluid rotor. A balance piston surrounds the shaft. The balance piston extends from an outer surface of the shaft to an inner surface of the fluid stator. The balance piston is positioned at the intake end.
FLOW THROUGH MAGNETIC DRIVE SYSTEM FOR ARTIFICIAL LIFT
A stator for a downhole-type motor includes a housing. The housing includes a sleeve. The sleeve includes a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The first layer is erosion-resistant. The second layer is corrosion-resistant. The third layer can provide structural support. The stator includes a motor stack. The stator can be used to drive a rotor disposed within an inner bore of the housing.
MULTISTAGE PUMP AND SUBSEA PUMPING ARRANGEMENT
A multistage pump for installation on a sea ground includes a common housing, a pump unit arranged in the common housing, a drive unit arranged in the common housing, and a coupling. The common housing includes a pump inlet and a pump outlet, the pump unit including a plurality of impellers to convey a compressible fluid from the pump inlet to the pump outlet, and a pump shaft, on which each impeller is mounted, each impellepr being a radial or semi-axial impeller. The drive unit includes a drive shaft to drive the pump shaft, and an electric motor configured to rotate the drive shaft about an axial direction. The coupling couples the drive shaft to the pump shaft. The pump unit conveys the fluid in a dense phase at the pump outlet, and at least two impellers of the plurality of impellers have a different specific speed.
Subsea barrier fluid system
The invention provides an autonomous subsea barrier fluid system for a subsea pressure booster, the subsea pressure booster comprising a process fluid compartment, a motor compartment and a rotor assembly extending from the motor compartment into the process fluid compartment with one or several shaft seals separating the process fluid from the barrier fluid in the motor compartment. The subsea barrier fluid system is distinguished in that it comprises: a subsea barrier fluid pump, a barrier fluid delivery line, arranged between the barrier fluid pump and the motor compartment, a pressure controlled regulator, operatively arranged to at least one of the barrier fluid delivery line and the subsea barrier fluid pump, a subsea barrier fluid storage, and a barrier fluid suction line arranged from the subsea barrier fluid storage to the subsea barrier fluid pump.
Compressor system including gas bearing, and method of supplying gas to compressor including gas bearing
A compressor system includes; a compression section that sucks and compresses gas; a rotor that includes the compression section; a gas bearing that supports the rotor; a dynamic-pressure generating gas supply system that supplies, to a gas supply port for dynamic pressure of the gas bearing, bleed gas from the gas pressurized by the compression section; and an external gas supply system for static pressure that supplies, to a gas supply port for static pressure of the gas bearing, external gas from outside of the compression section. The dynamic-pressure generating gas supply system and the external gas supply system for static pressure respectively include paths that are independent of each other to the gas bearing. The gas supply port for dynamic pressure and the gas supply port for static pressure are independent of each other.
Motorcompressor and method to improve the efficiency of a motorcompressor
A motorcompressor comprising an electric motor, a load, a shaft assembly, the electric motor and the load being mounted on the shaft assembly, a casing configured to completely house the electric motor, the load and the shaft assembly for its entire length, a divider located in the casing to define a motor chamber and a load chamber, the divider comprising at least a pumping device configured to transfer a part of the fluid present in the motor chamber to the load chamber so as to obtain in the motor chamber a pressure that is lower than a pressure at a load inlet.
ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPING UNIT
An electric submersible pump assembly with integral heat exchanger, high-speed self-aligning bearings, and dual bearing thrust chamber is described. The described pump assembly, modules, and components may be used for operating an electric submersible pump at high speeds as well as over a wide range of speeds and flowrates without replacing downhole equipment. The described pump assembly may be shorter than comparable pump assemblies and may be assembled offsite, thereby leading to faster and easier installation with less down time. By operating over a wide range of speeds, the disclosed pump assembly allows the operator to reduce overall inventory, reduce down time for the well, and avoid other complications associated with replacing a pump assembly or other downhole components.
PUMP FOR IMMERSION WITHIN A FLUID RESERVOIR
A pump is provided for immersion in a fluid reservoir, such as a pit or lagoon containing liquid manure, from a position at an edge of the reservoir. The pump may be adapted for connection to a farm vehicle, such as a tractor, positioned at the edge of the reservoir. The pump comprises an extensible body, fluid conduit and drive means in order that a length of the pump may be varied in order to accommodate a variety of reservoir fluid heights. In addition, the pump may be pivotable relative to at least a portion of a frame in order that the entrance angle may be adjusted. The pump may comprise a housing with an inlet and an outlet, the outlet in fluid communication with the fluid conduit. An impeller within the housing may direct fluid from the inlet to the outlet in the housing.
Surge free subsea compressor
A compressor includes impellers each having its chord angle less than its stall angle. The impellers can be used in a contra-rotating impeller arrangement without static diffusers. The contra-rotating impeller arrangement provides for much larger nominal flow rates than conventional single rotating impeller arrangements with the same chord angles. Accordingly, a surge free design is provided without excessively compromising the nominal flow rate. Techniques for enhancing stall characteristics of the impellers are also described.
