A lubricant pump for conveying lubricant from a lubricant reservoir to a pump outlet includes a pump housing with a longitudinal axis. The pump housing has a receiving opening for a pump unit, a lubricant inlet opening and a lubricant outlet opening opening into the receiving opening, a pump drive, and a pump unit with a reciprocatingly movable delivery piston. The pump unit has a suction opening, which corresponds with the lubricant outlet opening when the pump unit is inserted into the receiving opening, and an outlet opening for lubricant. A coupling mechanism for driving the at least one pump unit includes an eccentric element which is rotatable about the longitudinal axis, a drive-side coupling section connected to the eccentric element, and a pump-side coupling section. The drive-side coupling section and the pump-side coupling section can be connected to one another automatically via a resilient latching connection.

The gas bearing assembly includes an elastic member interposed between the gas bearing bracket and the gas bearing to elastically support the gas bearing.

A sealing arrangement for a centrifugal pump is provided. The sealing arrangement permits a sealing gap between a rotating element such as a pump impeller and a non-rotating element such as a pump casing to be minimized, while protecting against element wear from gap reduction and element contact, particularly during transient operation such as pump start up. At least one of the rotating element and the non-rotating element is provided with a plurality of movably mounted bodies configured to rotate and maintain separate the rotating and non-rotating elements when the sealing gap is reduced. The elements and the bodies may be formed in an additive manufacturing process.

An inner surface of the seal and an outer surface of the electric rotor define an annulus exposed to the outside environment. A bearing couples the electric rotor to the electric stator. A lubrication system is fluidically coupled to the downhole-type device. The lubrication system includes a topside pressure pump and a downhole-type distribution manifold configured to be used within a wellbore. The distribution manifold is fluidically connected to the topside pressure pump and the bearing to receive a flow of lubricant from the topside pressure pump.

The bearing apparatus includes a bearing unit for receiving a load of a rotational shaft, a lubricating oil reservoir disposed below the bearing unit, and an oil disk rotatable together with the rotational shaft to scoop up lubricating oil stored in the lubricating oil reservoir. The oil disk has a side surface facing the bearing unit, the side surface having a groove formed therein. An outer-circumferential-side end surface of the groove extends parallel to an axial direction of the rotational shaft, and constitutes a guide surface for changing a direction of movement of the lubricating oil in the groove from a radial direction of the oil disk to the axial direction of the rotational shaft.

A submersible well pump assembly has upper and lower seal sections connected between the pump and a motor. The seal sections have drive shafts with thrust runners that engage thrust bearing bases. The upper drive shaft will undergo a limited amount of downward movement toward the lower drive shaft in response to wear of the upper thrust bearing base. A spring between ends of the drive shafts transfers a portion of the down thrust on the upper drive shaft to the lower drive shaft prior to the limited amount of downward movement of the upper drive shaft toward the lower drive shaft being reached. A rigid stop member in the coupling transfers down thrust directly from the upper drive shaft to the lower drive shaft, bypassing the spring, only after the limited amount of downward movement of the upper drive shaft toward the lower drive shaft has been reached.
