A second seat includes a radial segment extending circumferentially around the center axis and extending radially from an inner surface to an outer surface of the radial segment. An axial segment extends circumferentially around the first end of the first seat, and extends axially from the radially segment to a distal end. The axial segment includes a tapered outer surface that tapers radially inward toward the distal end. The distal end is received in the cavity.

Rotary machine and impeller

A rotary machine includes a first impeller which rotates about an axis integrally with a rotating shaft, and a casing which covers the rotating shaft and the first impeller. The first impeller includes a circular-disk-shaped first disk part centered on the axis, a plurality of blade parts which extend from a surface facing a first side of the first disk part in an axial direction toward the first side in the axial direction and disposed at intervals in a circumferential direction, and an extension shaft which extends from a surface facing a second side of the first disk part in the axial direction toward the second side in the axial direction centered on the axis. An end portion of the extension shaft on the second side in the axial direction is connectable to an end portion of the rotating shaft on the first side in the axial direction.

Centrifugal compressor

A centrifugal compressor includes a housing, a partition separating an empty space in a housing into a speed increaser chamber and an impeller chamber, an insertion hole provided in the partition to allow insertion of a high-speed shaft, a seal located in the insertion hole to seal a boundary between the partition and the high-speed shaft, and a bearing receptacle located in the partition. The partition includes a communication passage that allows communication between a portion of the insertion hole located closer to the speed increaser chamber than the seal and the bearing receptacle.

ROTARY MACHINE

A rotary machine includes a thrust bearing and radial bearings rotatably supporting a rotary shaft, a rotation drive portion that rotates the rotary shaft, a first-stage impeller that rotates about an axis of the rotary shaft, a casing, a working fluid gas extraction portion that extracts a working fluid under compression from a middle of the first-stage impeller to an outside of the casing, and a working fluid supply line that allows the working fluid under compression, on which gas extraction is performed by the working fluid gas extraction portion, to be supplied therethrough to the rotation drive portion.

A multi-stage electric centrifugal compressor including an electric motor free from risk of breakdown of an operation control part due to heat generated by low-pressure stage and high-pressure stage compressors. Includes an electric motor; a pair of centrifugal compressors comprising a low-pressure stage compressor and a high-pressure stage compressor connected in series; a heat-shielding plate configured to shield heat generated by the low-pressure stage compressor; and a bending portion disposed in middle of the heat-shielding plate, and extending along a rotational shaft of the electric motor so as to surround an outer periphery of the rotational shaft. An inner surface of the bending portion faces the rotational shaft via a clearance part, and the bending portion functions as a shaft sealing portion which prevents leakage of intake air from the low-pressure stage compressor.

A rotating machine includes a shaft, a first impeller wheel, and a second impeller wheel. The rotating machine also includes a first seal assembly including a first carbon ring disposed about the shaft, with the first carbon ring having a first carbon surface. The first seal assembly also includes a first mating ring disposed about the shaft, with the first mating ring having a first mating surface facing and configured to contact the first carbon surface. The rotating machine additionally includes a second seal assembly including a second carbon ring disposed about the shaft, with the second carbon ring having a second carbon surface. The second seal assembly also includes a second mating ring disposed about the shaft, with the second mating ring having a second mating ring surface facing and configured to contact the second carbon surface.
