According to the invention, inside said pump casing (7) a flushing chamber (13) is formed in liquid communication with said suction duct (9) or with said delivery duct (11), said drive shaft (4) passing through said flushing chamber (13), said at least one seal (8) having at least one portion (80) facing said flushing chamber (13) so that the flow of said liquid running inside said flushing chamber (13) laps said portion (80) of said seal (8).
ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMP SYSTEMS
A protector for an electric submersible pump includes a plurality of chambers, with adjacent or consecutive pairs of chambers coupled, e.g., fluidly coupled, via a series or parallel body. The body defines two separate hydraulic circuits, which allows for the inclusion of a shaft seal, even when the body couples consecutive chambers in a parallel configuration or couples to a thrust bearing chamber. The shaft tube circuit can include a compensator and/or a relief valve.
TURBOMACHINE WITH A BALANCE DRUM AND SLEEVE ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD
The turbomachine comprises a stationary casing with a rotating member configured to rotate about a rotation axis in the stationary casing. The turbomachine further includes a rotating balance drum, arranged for co-rotation with the rotating member. A stationary sleeve is arranged in a fixed relationship with the stationary casing and surrounds the balance drum. The stationary sleeve comprises a plurality of consecutively arranged sleeve sections. A fluid channel is defined by an outer surface of the balance drum and an inner surface of the stationary sleeve. Between at least one pair of sequentially arranged upstream sleeve section and downstream sleeve section an annular chamber is provided, fluidly coupled to the fluid channel. Shunt holes are arranged on the upstream sleeve section, each shunt hole having a shunt hole inlet on an inner surface of the upstream sleeve section, and a shunt hole outlet in the annular chamber.
Liner coupling pin
A coupling pin for use in a pump housing, the pump housing including an outer casing and an inner pump liner, the coupling pin being suitable for locating the liner and casing relative to one another, the coupling pin including a shank and a head at one end of the shank. The head includes a cammed surface thereon which is adapted to co-operate with a follower on the liner, and a locating section on a remote or terminal end of the head which is adapted to be positioned against a seat in the outer casing when fitted. The arrangement is such that rotation of the coupling pin causes the follower to track along the cammed surface so as to cause relative movement between the outer casing and the inner pump liner.
SHAFT SEAL DEVICE AND VERTICAL PUMP WITH THIS SHAFT SEAL DEVICE
A shaft seal device is fixed to a container that separates a high-pressure fluid and a low-pressure fluid from each other, and seals a shaft-penetrated portion of the container through which a rotational shaft extends. This shaft seal device includes: a seal casing having a through-hole through which the rotational shaft extends, the seal casing having a seal chamber which communicates with the through-hole and into which the high-pressure fluid flows; and a disk-shaped seal body which is housed in the seal chamber, the seal body being rotatable together with the rotational shaft and having an annular surface perpendicular to an axis of the rotational shaft. An inner surface of the seal casing, which faces the annular surface of the seal body and defines the seal chamber, is a flat surface perpendicular to the axis of the rotational shaft.
MOTOR PROTECTOR OF AN ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMP AND AN ASSOCIATED METHOD THEREOF
A motor protector includes a housing and a rotatable shaft disposed within the housing and a plurality of radial bearings coupled to the rotatable shaft, for supporting the rotatable shaft against the housing. The motor protector further includes a thrust bearing coupled to the rotatable shaft, for supporting the rotatable shaft against the housing. The motor protector also includes a shaft seal coupled to the rotatable shaft, and configured to seal a first portion from a second portion of the housing. The motor protector also includes an isolation chamber, coupled substantially lateral to the housing and configured to separate a first fluid and a second fluid via the housing.
Molten metal pump
A molten metal pump having a base member defining a pumping chamber is provided. The pumping chamber includes an opening in each of a top surface and a bottom surface of the base member. An impeller is disposed in the pumping chamber and is configured to draw molten metal through the opening in the bottom surface and expel the molten metal through an outlet in the base member. A flow diverter is disposed above the opening in the top surface.
VANE PUMP SEAL
A seal tube assembly of a pump system is provided. The seal tube assembly includes a single seal tube having a first axial end sealably coupled to a first vane pump and a second axial end sealably coupled to a second vane pump. The single seal tube includes transverse contact surfaces at the first axial end and transverse contact surfaces at the second axial end. The single seal tube is formed to define a first seal tube cavity at the first axial end and a second seal tube cavity at the second axial end.
One-Piece Labyrinth Disc Chamber For Centrifugal Well Pump
A submersible well pump assembly includes a seal unit coupled between a pump and a motor. The seal unit has a forward guide member, a rearward guide member, and a labyrinth disc chamber connected between. The labyrinth disc chamber has an outer wall, a concentric guide tube and a number of axially spaced apart discs extending between the guide tube and the outer wall, defining cavities between the discs. Disc ports extend through the discs to communicate fluid between the cavities, the ports being at multiple angular locations relative to each other. A drive shaft extends through the guide tube, the forward guide member bore and the rearward guide member. The outer wall, the guide tube and the discs are made of a single-piece member.
VERTICAL SUSPENDED CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
The present invention comprises a vertical suspended centrifugal pump. It is particularly useful to pump process liquids having high purity requirements or for outdoor applications in cold environments. The invention comprises a column that is an outer housing, an internal column that is an inner housing, and a shaft assembly that is partially located inside the inner housing. The outer housing encloses some part of the shaft assembly and at least partially encloses the inner housing. A wet end assembly is positioned to receive liquid through an inlet and to discharge liquid through an outlet. The present invention may be configured to include an internal barrier or buffer liquid reservoir without expensive external piping and reservoirs for pumps having two seals.
