Fan assemblies, and in particular fan wheels and stator assemblies for fan assemblies, are disclosed. In one embodiment, the fan wheel includes a wheel back having an outer surface forming one of a curved dome-shape and a truncated cone-shape. The fan wheel may also include a plurality of fan blades radially spaced about and mounted to the outer surface of the wheel back. In one embodiment, each of the fan blades is formed from a segment of an airfoil-shaped aluminum extrusion defining at least one internal cavity. The fan blade first ends can be provided with a compound cut profile with at least one curved cut such that the first end of the blade is mounted flush to the wheel back outer surface. The stator assembly can also be provided with a plurality of stator blades formed from airfoil-shaped aluminum extrusion segments and provided with compound cut profiles.
IMPELLER FOR CATHETER PUMP
An impeller for a pump is disclosed herein. The impeller can include a hub having a fixed end and a free end. The impeller can also have a plurality of blades supported by the hub. Each blade can have a fixed end coupled to the hub and a free end. The impeller can have a stored configuration and a deployed configuration, the blades in the deployed configuration extending away from the hub, and the blades in the stored configuration being compressed against the hub.
BLOOD FLOW PUMP FOR VENTRICULAR ASSISTANCE
A pump for immersion in a fluid includesan inductor having guide vanes to induce linear fluid flow; a rotor with a central, flared body, this rotor being downstream of the inductor relative to the direction of fluid circulation; a helical blade provided around the central body; this helical blade having a flared external profile and having turns with an increasing winding pitch, and the internal casing volume being complementary to the flared helical blade, a casing around the rotor; a diffuser having blades making the flow of fluid linear and disposed downstream of the rotor to evacuate the fluid from the rotor; anda diffuser insert having blades and an outlet orifice with a diameter less than the inlet diameter of the diffuser insert, the blades directing the fluid from the diffuser towards the orifice to increase the orifice outlet pressure.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PUMP-ASSISTED BLOOD CIRCULATION
A system for assisting a circulation of blood inside a body of a patient includes a pump including: a housing having an upstream portion and a downstream portion; an inducer positioned in the upstream portion of the housing, the inducer including one or more helically-wound inducer blades to rotate around a longitudinal axis of the pump; an impeller positioned downstream of the inducer in the housing, the impeller including one or more impeller blades to rotate around the longitudinal axis of the pump; and a diffuser positioned in the downstream portion of the housing, to direct blood through at least one aperture in a circumference of the housing.
Rotary pump comprising a rotor and delivery elements
A rotary pump includes a rotor having delivery elements which deliver at least a portion of a fluid in an axial direction of the rotor. Two delivery elements or groups of delivery elements are provided on the rotor for delivering the fluid, and deliver the fluid to be delivered in mutually opposing axial directions of the rotor, so that the axial thrust components substantially compensate each other. The fluid flows flowing counter to each other jointly give way in the radial direction of the rotor and can be jointly discharged through the volute casing and utilized.
SUBMERSIBLE PUMP
A submersible pump comprises a rotational assembly and a rotational assembly housing. The rotational assembly has a plurality of in-line flow inducing sections. A centerline longitudinal axis of each of the flow inducing sections extends colinearly with a rotational axis of the rotational assembly. A downstream end portion of a flow pressurizing section is engaged with an upstream end portion of a rotational flow amplification section. A downstream end portion of the rotational flow amplification section is engaged with an upstream end portion of a flow outlet section. The rotational assembly housing has an interior space extending along a centerline axis of the rotational assembly housing. The rotational assembly is disposed within the interior space of the rotational assembly housing. The rotational assembly and the rotational assembly are jointly configured for causing the rotational axis to extend colinearly with the centerline longitudinal axis of the rotational assembly housing.
