SUPPORT MODULE FOR A FAN AND FAN HAVING A CORRESPONDING SUPPORT MODULE
A support module for a fan, which includes a motor and a fan impeller driven in rotation by the motor, in an embodiment for a radial or diagonal fan, for fastening the fan impeller between a nozzle plate on the inflow side and a base plate lying opposite the nozzle plate at a distance, wherein the motor is non-rotatably mounted with the fan impeller on or in the base plate and is held on the nozzle plate by means of struts extending between the base plate and the nozzle plate characterized in that the struts are adjusted to the flow exiting the fan impeller with a compact design. A fan is provided with a corresponding support module.
COMPRESSOR COMPRISING A FLOW GUIDE DISPOSED WITHIN AN AIR INLET
A compressor has a stator assembly, a rotor assembly, and a housing within which the stator assembly and the rotor assembly are located. The housing has a first end, a second end, and an air inlet disposed between the first and second ends. The compressor has a flow guide disposed within the air inlet. The flow guide is configured to split air flowing through the air inlet in use into a first airflow toward the first end of the housing and a second airflow toward the second end of the housing.
ELECTRIC PUMP WITH ISOLATED STATOR
The present disclosure relates to an electric pump including a housing defining an inlet and an outlet. The electric pump includes a rotor and stator within the housing. The rotor is liquid cooled by working fluid of the pump and the stator is positioned in a dry chamber that is sealed to prevent the working fluid from entering the dry chamber. A heat exchanger is used to cool the stator. An impeller driven by the rotor draws working fluid into the housing through the inlet. The working fluid passes through the heat exchanger to draw heat from the stator before reaching the impeller. The working fluid is discharged from the housing through the outlet by the impeller.
Anti-swirl ribs in electric submersible pump balance ring cavity
Systems and features for improving sand control in pumps are provided. These features can be used in centrifugal pumps employed in a variety of oilfield applications, such as in electric submersible pumping systems positioned downhole in a wellbore to pump oil or other fluids. Such features include shielded anti-swirl ribs positioned in the balance chamber.
Load-bearing members for aircraft lift and thrust
An aircraft includes an airframe, ducted fans, and ducts for carrying pressurized air for lift and thrust supplied by the fans. The ducts form part of the airframe and carry static and dynamic loads applied to the airframe. Ducting members supply lift and thrust and transmit them to other airframe components. The ducts also carry the ducted air to exits set distant from the fans to permit flight control of the aircraft. Ducting members also form airfoils creating lift for the aircraft.
Pump
A pump includes a housing which forms a suction chamber and a discharge chamber therein; a suction nozzle which is disposed in one side of the housing, and communicates with the suction chamber; a discharge nozzle which is disposed in the other side of the housing, and communicates with the discharge chamber; a partition wall which partitions the suction chamber and the discharge chamber, and has a communication hole, which communicates the suction chamber and the discharge chamber, that is formed at a central portion; and a plurality of baffles which are disposed inside the suction chamber, and guide fluid introduced through the suction nozzle to the communication hole, wherein the plurality of baffles have different lengths and are separated apart from each other in a circumferential direction in an upper side of the partition wall.
Bi-metal variable geometry turbocharger vanes and methods for manufacturing the same using laser cladding
A bi-metal variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) vane includes a structural, airfoil-shaped flag portion, and a functional, cylindrically-shaped shaft portion connected to the flag portion. The flag portion and the shaft portion are formed of a first metal alloy, and the shaft portion further includes a surface area formed of a second metal alloy different from the first metal alloy.
SELF-PRIMING ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN A MULTI-STAGE PUMP
A self-priming assembly for a multi-stage pump is provided. The self-priming assembly includes a first diffuser with a first central portion, a first diffuser axis, a first arcuate channel within the first central portion, and a first arcuate passage extending through the first central portion and a first peripheral portion having a first ledge. The self-priming assembly also includes a second diffuser with a second central portion, a second diffuser axis, a second arcuate channel within the second central portion, a second arcuate passage extending through the second central portion, and a second peripheral portion having a second ledge. The first ledge abuts the second ledge. Further, the self-priming assembly includes an impeller with an impeller axis. The first diffuser and the second diffuser are configured to be combined and to receive the impeller therebetween with the first diffuser axis, the second diffuser axis, and the impeller axis aligned.
CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR AND TURBOCHARGER
A centrifugal compressor includes: a housing accommodating an impeller; a diffuser flow path formed radially outside the impeller in the housing; and a scroll flow path formed in the housing and connected to the diffuser flow path from a radially-outer side, the scroll flow path extending in a rotational axis direction and a rotational direction of the impeller with respect to the diffuser flow path, the scroll flow path including a radially-inner end located at the radially-innermost position, and the radially-inner end being spaced apart from the diffuser flow path with respect to a middle point of the maximum flow path width of the scroll flow path in the rotational axis direction.
Optimised tunnel ventilation device
A ventilation device that enhances the effective longitudinal thrust of a fan assembly installed within a tunnel or other internal space. The nozzle trailing edge (6) is tilted so that it forms an angle (13) with respect to the fan centreline (7), with the surface of the nozzle throughbore being non-cylindrical in shape. The discharged flow (5) is turned away from the surrounding surfaces by a convergent-divergent bellmouth (1).
