AXIAL COMPRESSOR WITH RADIALLY OUTER ANNULUS
An axial compressor comprises a plurality of compressor stages positioned axially adjacent each other within a casing. Each of the plurality of compressor stages includes a rotor segment and a banded stator segment. An annulus is formed between the casing and an outer flowpath ring of the banded stator segment. A pathway may be provided that establishes an air flowpath between the annulus and another annulus formed by an adjacent stage.

A vacuum pump includes a rotor provided with a plurality of rotor blades and a rotor cylinder portion, a driving portion, a bearing, stator blades, a thread groove stator that is disposed downstream of the stator blades and has an inner peripheral surface facing an outer peripheral surface of the rotor cylinder portion, and a heat insulating wall disposed downstream of the thread groove. The heat insulating wall includes a ring-shaped annular portion, and a substantially cylindrical wall portion extending from an inner portion of the annular portion in the radial direction to the upstream side and forming a flow path on the outer peripheral surface side. A first corner portion is formed between an upstream-side surface of the annular portion and the outer peripheral surface of the wall portion, the first corner portion being formed in an arc shape.
Stator apparatus for a gas turbine engine
A turbomachinery stator apparatus includes: a compressor casing including a casing wall defining an arcuate flowpath surface and an opposed backside surface, the flowpath surface defining at least two spaced-apart rotor lands; and a stator vane row of stator vanes disposed inside the compressor casing; wherein the casing wall includes at least one hollow structure; and wherein the casing wall is a single monolithic whole, wherein the stator vanes are integrally formed as part of the monolithic whole.
MOTOR ASSEMBLY
A motor assembly includes an impeller, a first diffuser at a downstream side of the impeller, a second diffuser at a downstream side of the first diffuser, an impeller cover coupled to the second diffuser and accommodating the impeller and the first diffuser, and a motor provided at the downstream side of the second diffuser to drive the impeller. The second diffuser includes a hub, an outer wall concentrically disposed outside the hub, and a plurality of blades having one side connected to the hub and the other side connected to the outer wall. The impeller cover is coupled to the outer wall of the second diffuser. A communicating portion for allowing fluid communication between inside and outside of the hub of the second diffuser is provided at the hub of the second diffuser.
ELECTRONIC SPEED REGULATOR HAVING A BUILT-IN FAN
An electronic speed regulator having a built-in fan. The electronic speed regulator comprises an aluminum part (10),a frameless fan (20), and screws (30); the frameless fan (20) is mounted on the aluminum part (10) by means of the screws (30); the aluminum part (10) comprises a base (11) and a heat dissipation fence (12); the heat dissipation fence (12) is located at the top of the base (11); and at least one hole position structure region (121) consisting of several hole positions is formed in the outer side wall of the heat dissipation fence (12).
Vacuum pump
A vacuum pump comprises a cylindrical rotor; a cylindrical stator which discharges gas in cooperation with the rotor; a base housing at least a part of the stator and having a through hole formed at a position facing an outer periphery of the stator; a heating member passing through the through hole from an atmosphere side to a vacuum side to have thermal contact with an outer peripheral surface of the stator to heat the stator; and an axial seal member which vacuum-seals a gap between the through hole and the heating member.
Rotor formed of multiple metals
A rotor for a machine under this disclosure could be said to include a hub having a plurality of blades extending radially outwardly of the hub. At least one of the hub and the plurality of blades is formed of at least two metal materials. The two metal materials are selected to have different thermal expansion coefficients such that the overall rotor will be more resistant to forces it may experience as temperature or speed increases. There are layers of each of the two metal materials, with an intermediate gradient wherein the two materials are mixed. Alternatively, a shape memory alloy may be used. A method is also disclosed.
Turbocharger bearing housing with integrated heat shield
A system and method is provided in which a turbocharger includes a heat shield wall that is formed together with the bearing housing as a unitary structure. The wall can extend from a main body portion of the bearing housing in a generally radially outward direction. The wall can be spaced from the main body and attached by a plurality of ribs such that chambers are defined therebetween. A circumferential passage can extend through the bearing housing to permit fluid communication between the chambers and outside of the bearing housing. In this way, a fluid outlet from the chambers is provided. As a result of such an arrangement, the need for a separate heat shield is eliminated, which can facilitate the assembly process and special attachment methods associated with a separate heat shield.
HEATING DEVICE AND TURBO MOLECULAR PUMP
A heating device for heating a component in a turbo molecular pump for exhausting a gas includes a heat transfer member, a heater, a first seal member and a second seal member. The heat transfer member is provided in an opening of a housing of the turbo molecular pump and has one end fixed to the component and the other end exposed to an outside. The heater in the heat transfer member heats the component through the heat transfer member. The first seal member is provided between the heat transfer member and the opening along an outer peripheral surface of the heat transfer member. The second seal member between the heat transfer member and the opening is located close to the component compared to the first seal member. The second seal member suppresses movement of radicals in a gas into a space between the heat transfer member and the opening.
