A motor assembly comprises a stator, a rotor configured to be rotated about a shaft by electromagnetically interacting with the stator, an impeller configured to be rotated with the rotor about the shaft by being coupled to the rotor and configured to suction air in response to a rotation, a housing configured to cover between the impeller and the stator by being coupled to the stator, a cover comprising an inlet through which air sucked by the impeller is introduced, and configured to cover the impeller, a guide member configured to guide the air discharged from the impeller and configured to be coupled to the housing, and a plurality of first vanes protruding from one of the cover and the guide member to an axial direction and coupled to the other of the cover and the guide member. The cover and the guide member are configured to be movable in the axial direction in response to not being coupled to the housing, and the cover comprises a contact portion in contact with the impeller according to a position of the cover. The contact portion is spaced apart from the impeller in response to coupling between the guide member and the housing.
Method of manufacturing supercharger
An object is to provide a method of manufacturing a supercharger that can promptly and easily form an abradable layer in a supercharger. A method of manufacturing a supercharger is a method of manufacturing a supercharger including a turbine configured to rotationally drive, and a compressor having an impeller configured to rotate according to rotational force of the turbine and a housing (10) configured to store the impeller, and the method includes a process of applying coating of an abradable material which is to form an abradable layer (20) when being solidified, only to a predetermined range on a surface of the housing (10) via which the impeller and the housing (10) face.
Impeller shroud with thermal actuator for clearance control in a centrifugal compressor
A system for controlling the clearance distance between an impeller blade tip of a centrifugal compressor and a radially inner surface of an impeller shroud in a turbine engine. The system comprises a thermal driver coupled between the impeller shroud and engine casing by hinged linkages. The thermal driver includes an annular ring and annular seal which together define thermal driver cavity. Relatively warm or relatively cool air supplied to the thermal driver cavity cause expansion and contraction, respectively, of the annular ring which is translated by linkages into axially forward and aft motion, respectively.
IMPELLER SHROUD WITH SLIDABLE COUPLING FOR CLEARANCE CONTROL IN A CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR
A system for controlling the clearance distance between an impeller blade tip of a centrifugal compressor and a radially inner surface of an impeller shroud in a turbine engine. The system comprises a high pressure air source, an air piston mounted between an engine casing and the shroud and adapted to receive high pressure air from the high pressure air source, a mounting arm coupling the shroud and air piston, and a slidable coupling adapted to allow axial movement of the shroud and joining the shroud to an axial member.
Centrifugal pump
A centrifugal pump (1) includes a pump casing and a shaft (11) which is rotatably mounted therein and on which an impeller (10), for delivering fluid, is arranged rotationally fixed. A cartridge shaft seal (13) is arranged between the shaft (11) and an opening (16) of the casing, through which opening the shaft (11) is led. The cartridge shaft seal (13) includes a sleeve (22) which surrounds the shaft (11) at least in the region of the opening 16 and which is connected to the shaft (11) releasably and rotationally fixed, by way of a clamping device (29) which is arranged on the outer side of the sleeve (22). The clamping device (29) includes clamping jaws (32) which only engage on the outer side of the sleeve (22) and non-positively connect the sleeve (22) to the shaft (11).
