A pump comprising a housing defining an internal volume; an impeller disposed in the internal volume of the housing, wherein the impeller comprises a magnetic element and at least a portion of the surface of the impeller conforms to a generally logarithmic spiral; and a drive element adapted to magnetically couple with the magnetic element of the impeller.

PUMP MODULE
20190187763 · 2019-06-20 ·

A pump module includes a main body, a first pump and a second pump. The main body includes a fluid channel, a first mounting hole and a second mounting hole. The fluid channel is exposed through the first mounting hole and the second mounting hole. The first pump is installed in the first mounting hole and sealedly coupled with the first mounting hole. The second pump is installed in the second mounting hole and sealedly coupled with the second mounting hole. A working liquid in the fluid channel is transferred through the first pump and the second pump sequentially. Even if one of the first pump and the second pump is damaged, the other of the first pump and the second pump is normally operated to move the working liquid in the fluid channel.

SYSTEM FOR MOVING FLUID WITH OPPOSED AXIAL FORCES
20190145415 · 2019-05-16 ·

A technique facilitates movement of fluids with reduced component loading by utilizing opposed axial forces. The system for moving fluid may be in the form of a gas compressor, liquid pump, or other device able to pump or otherwise move fluid from one location to another. According to an embodiment, the system comprises rotor sections which are combined with pumping features. The rotor sections are disposed radially between corresponding inner and outer stator sections which may be powered to cause relative rotation of inner and outer rotor sections in opposite directions. The rotors and corresponding pumping features are configured to move fluid in opposed axial directions toward an outlet section so as to balance axial forces and thus reduce component loading, e.g. thrust bearing loading.

Various downhole tools are discussed, including intake and gas separators for a downhole rotary pump. Multiple intakes configured in parallel and series are discussed, along with compact axial length gas separators, and gas separators that remove gas in novel ways. Related apparatuses and methods are discussed.

Bolt Fastening Structure and Turbo-Machine Using Same

A bolt fastening structure has an upper flange and a lower flange of a casing to which inner pressure is applied, the upper flange and the lower flange defining an abutting interface therebetween; a bolt hole formed through the abutting interface; and a counterbored portion formed asymmetric about a bolt hole center. The abutting interface includes a first region extending from a bolt hole inner side edge to an upper and lower flanges inner edge and being a region where the upper flange and the lower flange are in surface-to-surface contact with each other; and a partial contact region extending from a bolt hole outer side edge to an upper and lower flanges outer edge and being a region where the upper flange and the lower flange are partially in surface-to-surface contact with each other. In the partial contact region, the upper flange and the lower flange are in surface-to-surface contact with each other in a second region, and the first region is larger than the second region.

Coupling an electric machine and fluid-end

A submersible fluid system for operating submerged in a body of water includes a fluid-end that has a fluid rotor disposed in a fluid-end housing. An electric machine housing is coupled to the fluid-end housing and includes a hermetically sealed cavity. An electric machine, such as a motor and/or generator, is disposed entirely within the cavity of the electric machine housing. The electric machine includes an electric machine stator and an electric machine rotor. A magnetic coupling couples the electric machine rotor and the fluid rotor.

SMALL-SIZED SUBMERSIBLE PUMP UNIT

The invention relates to oil production equipment, more particularly, small-sized submersible pump units that are run in holes on a carrying cable within an additional pipe. The technical result is improvement of reliability of small-sized submersible pump unit in operation, elimination of submersible motor overheating, and simplification of the pump unit mounting. This result is achieved by a small-sized submersible pump unit having a submersible motor, foldable module, pump housings of which are connected by flangeless coupling wherein the flangeless coupling is made using embedded ring segments. The coupled housings each have the covering and the covered parts, and the covered part of one of the housings contains a blind rectangle groove, and the covering part of another housing has a through rectangle groove, and the grooves form a cavity having an embedded ring segment.

HYDROFOIL IMPELLER

A hydrofoil impeller includes a central hub connected to a shaft, and being in the form of a flat plate and being perpendicular to the central axis. The central hub has first bolt holes arranged to form a pattern, the number of groups of first bolt holes corresponding to a number of blades attached to the central hub. At least three blades extend radially outwardly from the central hub, and have a group of second bolt holes arranged in a corresponding pattern to the first bolt holes so that the group of second bolt holes can be aligned with the group of first bolt holes and bolts can be placed through the first and second bolt holes to form bolted joints. The pattern in which the first holes and second holes are arranged in each of the respective groups of holes has a form of a closed curved shape.

Axial pump with adjustable impeller

An example axial pump for delivering liquid coolant to cool an electronic device comprises a conduit defining a flow path from an inlet of the conduit to an outlet of the conduit and an impeller in the conduit. The impeller is rotatable about an axis of rotation parallel to the flow path. The pump also has a motor stator configured to drive rotation of the impeller body about the axis of rotation. In addition, the pump comprises an adjustment mechanism coupling the impeller to the conduit. The adjustment mechanism is actuatable to cause translation of the impeller relative to the conduit. This may allow for adjustment of a clearance between a blade tip of a blade of the impeller and a wall of the conduit.
