Plant cage
A plant cage includes an annular base configured to surround a portion of a plant. The base includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced stake openings formed therethrough. Each of the stake openings is inclined relative to a central axis of the base. The base is formed from a first segment releasably coupled to a second segment. The plant cage further includes a plurality of stakes. Each of the stakes is configured to extend through one of the stake openings formed in the base. A first portion of each of the stakes is received in the ground and a second portion of each of the stakes extends away from the ground into a substantially conical shape.
PLANTER PROTECTOR
The present invention is directed to a system and device for covering all forms of indoor and outdoor planters and plant pots to prevent damage caused by water (rain and snow usually) from getting into the planters during cold weather. The device of the present invention is comprised of a cover and securing system to secure the cover to the planter when in use and that can be removed from the cover for ease of storage when not in use.
System and method for producing a plant
A system (100) for producing a plant (35), the system having an indoor environment, a plurality of plant holders (1) for growing and transporting a plant therein, a controller (105) for at least controlling temperature and humidity in the indoor environment. The plant holder has a semi-permeable foil (20) defining a non-planar boundary of an interior space and an exterior space, a reservoir (2), having an amount of liquid for feeding the plant. The reservoir (2) and the semi-permeable foil (20) are arranged to allow the plant to grow in the interior space. The semi-permeable foil (20) has permeation of water vapor.
Plant shade device
The present invention is a shade apparatus with central hub an shade components.
Tilting plant shade and selective fertilizer distribution device
A device having a fertilizer base that is configured to be operable for distributing fertilizer to a surrounding soil. A collapsible or retractable umbrella is into engagement with the fertilizer base, wherein the umbrella is configured to provide shade for the plant. A bottom portion of a shaft section engages the fertilizer base and a top portion of the collapsible or retractable umbrella. The shaft section includes a tilting shaft that is operable to be tilted to provide partial or full shade to the plant proximal to the fertilizer base according to a sun's orientation or the plant's required amount of sunlight. An adapter coupling is configured to facilitate the engagement or separation of the shaft section with the fertilizer base and allow a user to add fertilizer to the cartridge area without uninstalling the device.
METHODS FOR CULTIVATION USING PROTECTED GROWING WELLS AND RELATED STRUCTURES
Methods and devices for growing plants in non-native environments and/or protecting crops from adverse weather conditions are disclosed in which sub-surface growing wells are used. The sub-surface growing wells extend below ground-level and include an opening that is exposed to above-ground conditions. The growing wells are outfitted with a well cap positioned above the well opening and the well cap can be moved either down to seal off the well from above-ground conditions or up to expose the well to above-ground conditions. The growing wells can be enhanced with a variety of control and monitoring systems to provide optimal growing conditions for plants contained in the wells.
Collapsible and Height-Adjustable Plant Shade
A collapsible and height-adjustable plant shade is an apparatus that readily extends and retracts around a plant or multiple plants in order to protect the plant or multiple plants from extreme weather. The apparatus includes a scaffolding and a mesh covering. The scaffolding includes a plurality of length-adjustable legs, a collapsible lateral frame, and a roofing frame. Each of the plurality of length-adjustable legs may vary in height in order to accommodate uneven terrain. The collapsible lateral frame connects the plurality of length-adjustable legs with each other and mounts the roofing frame onto the plurality of length-adjustable legs. The mesh covering encloses the scaffolding and shields the plant or multiple plants. The apparatus further includes a plurality of extension lateral panels in order to account for any distance between the mesh frame and the ground due to varying heights of each of the plurality of length-adjustable legs.
TEMPORARY ANCHORED, WEATHER COVERING FOR PLANTS
A rapidly deployable, temporary anchored weather covering for a plant includes a center post, support legs, and anchor legs which are rapidly deployed and temporarily anchored to the ground, around a potted plant, etc. to protect a plant from sudden harsh weather, be it hard rain, hail, heavy snow, even a hot sun, etc. The center post, support legs and anchor legs may be rapidly and temporarily inserted into separable post junctions which include more permanently secured anchoring stakes. Anchoring straps may be included at multiple points with magnetic latches to facilitate rapid deployment. Lower straps may be secured around the underside of a plant pot. The rapidly deployable, temporary anchored weather covering may be undeployed such that the weather covering is furled up, and may be left in place with the center post remaining in the soil, with support legs and anchoring legs and/or anchoring straps retracted.
Plant protection apparatus
A plant protection apparatus that is configured to be placed adjacent a plant and provide control of the amount of sunlight and water to which the plant is exposed. The plant protection apparatus includes a body having a central portion, a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and second portion are movably mounted to opposing sides of the central portion. The first portion and second portion are planar in manner and are movably intermediate a first position and second position. The plant protection apparatus is further configured to have a controller and a first sensor and a second sensor wherein the first sensor and second sensor are operably coupled to the controller. The body is secured to a mounting rod that is configured to be inserted into soil adjacent to plant. The mounting rod is of sufficient length so as to position the body above the plant.
System And Method For Automated Plant Training
In accordance with embodiments of the invention, there are provided automated plant training systems and related methods. An automated plant training system is designed to train medium to tall plants to grow in a height restricted space by adjusting the plant's direction of growth through the use of phototropism. The device can physically control the plant's main stem, branches and foliage from excessive vertical growth.
