MOWER PATH ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
A mower path assistance system to encircle an obstacle projecting from a ground surface, including a barrier mat formed with a barrier mat aperture enclosed by the barrier mat and having a barrier mat aperture diameter, a perimeter edge, and a barrier mat installation slit extending from the perimeter edge to the barrier mat aperture, wherein the barrier mat is deformable around the barrier mat installation slit to create a pathway having a pathway width through which the obstacle may pass from the perimeter to the barrier mat aperture. The barrier mat has a plurality of edges with axes that intersect at obtuse angles.
Plant irrigation device
An irrigation device for facilitating growth of a plant includes a mat that is air and water permeable and has an opening through which a plant extends. A slit extends from the opening to a peripheral edge to facilitate placement of the mat around the plant. A drip tube is disposed within the mat between upper and lower surfaces, and has an open end connectable to a water source, and a series of emitters along the length thereof permitting water to exit the drip tube and through the lower surface of the mat. Stakes may extend through the mat and direct water into the ground towards roots of the plant.
Potted plant guard
A potted plant guard for protecting a pot from rodents that includes: a frame, wherein the frame creates an outer perimeter of the potted plant guard; a grid within the frame, where the grid includes a plurality grid member; a group of removable grid members within the plurality of grid members; a group of permanent grid members within the plurality of grid members; and a plurality of openings along the frame, wherein the openings are adapted to receive the removable grid members. The frame is preferably circular in shape.
DISPOSABLE DIAPER RECYCLING AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
One embodiment provides a modular green roof tray, house plant growth media and horticulture growth media, and a tree protection mat for weed and moisture control made from recycled disposable diapers. The growth medium and tree protection mat contain superabsorbent materials from diaper that can absorb waters and greatly reduce irrigation so to provide a drought resistant feature. One embodiment also provides a manufacturing process to perform 100% recycling of disposed diapers.
Plant growing assist device
A new plant growing assist device, comprising a container, a separator in the middle of the container dividing the container into an upper part and a lower part. The upper part keeps the soil for planting, and the lower part to acts as a water reservoir. The bottom of the container is provided with a snorkel, around the snorkel there is a buckle which is used to connect the snorkel with a raw water pipe. The device allows for rain water and surface vapor which would otherwise evaporate into the air to condense and be returned to the soil for plant use. The several through holes of the separator ensure proper ventilation; the monitoring window makes it possible to observe the water level inside the reservoir, the top of the container is covered to prevent water evaporation, and out-extending holes are provided to allow the roots to extend outside.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SOIL MOISTURE STABILIZATION AND TREE OR PLANT PROTECTION
A tree or plant protection mat is provided, comprising: a top layer, having a first perimeter edge; a water-permeable bottom layer, having a second perimeter edge affixed either directly to the first perimeter edge, or indirectly to the first perimeter edge via an intervening sidewall; and a water-absorbing and releasing center layer disposed between the top and bottom layers, and comprising a section having superabsorbent particles and a section not having superabsorbent particles. Other mats and methods are provided.
DAYLIGHT REDIRECTING WINDOW COVERING
An optically transmissive light directing sheeting and daylight control structures employing the same. The light directing sheeting includes a core light redirecting layer employing TIR surfaces embedded into the sheeting and may further include one or more outer layers having light diffusing surface microstructures. The TIR surfaces intercept and reflect a portion of sunlight propagating through the core layer such that the light directing sheeting partially transmits and partially redirects the sunlight towards a plurality of divergent directions, forming relatively high bend angles.
HORTICULTURE DEVICE AND METHOD
A pan-like shaped device with at least one opening in the bottom to accommodate a plant stem or trunk, having at least one aperture in the bottom to permit water to escape to the plant roots and interlocking peripheral walls extending upward from the perimeter of the bottom of the device so the device can be easily connected with like devices having interlocking peripheral walls to expand the area encompassed by the devices. When placed around a growing plant, the horticulture device provides a basin for directing water to the roots of a plant, helps to control weeds because it acts as a weed barrier, and retains moisture around the root by slowing evaporation. The horticulture device can be made in various sizes and shapes to accommodate various kinds of plants and ground areas and various connectors can secure multiple devices together to cover a greater ground area.
DEVICE FOR INHIBITING WEED GROWTH IN A POT
Device for inhibiting weed growth in a pot, where the pot defines a rim around an opening. The device includes a body configured to cover at least a portion of the opening and connect about the rim. The body defines a centrally arranged aperture for receiving a plant arranged in the pot, and is shaped to form a concave upper region surrounding the aperture. The concave upper region is arranged to direct liquid received on the upper region to flow towards and through an outlet to enter the pot. At least the concave upper region is configured to be opaque such that, when arranged across the opening of the pot in use, the body inhibits light transmission through the opening.
DRAINAGE ELEMENT FOR PLANTS, AND USE THEREOF
The invention relates to a planar textile drainage element for preventing moisture to accumulate around plants, as well as to the use thereof.
