In addition, the wind power generation tower, according to the one embodiment of the present invention, can increase the intensity of the wind by a Venturi effect and simultaneously increase the drop in pressure of the wind escaping the wind power generation tower by using the vortex generated at the rear surface of the wind power generation tower in a cylindrical shape, thereby improving the rotation of the blades provided to the inside of the wind power generation tower so as to enable faster rotation of the blades.

A high performance hybrid turbine is provided which has an impeller towards which a fluid flow of water, air, or other fluid is conveyed for rotation of the impeller around an axis of rotation. The impeller exploits the thrusts that the fluid flow exerts on the elements constituting the impeller and the thrusts generated by a certain number of airfoils provided inside the elements of the impeller. The high performance hybrid turbine, if used as a wind turbine, can operate at much higher wind speeds than conventional wind turbines.

A semi-submersible support platform, wave energy capture apparatus, torsional bearing mechanism and a latticework wind turbine tower associated with the ducted wind turbine are also provided.

A method and apparatus for generating electricity using a tidal stream impeller generator. The generator is a closed container, housing generators and related equipment in a non-flammable environment. The generator housing has affixed to it impeller blades, oriented to maximize the force captured from the movement of seawater with tides at depth. Tidal flow in seawater causes the housing and impeller blades rotate about a conduit, with the conduit serving as an axle as well as a conduit for cables, pipes, and related structures to enter the housing without breaching the watertight housing. The conduit passes through end caps on the housing, through watertight bearings. The rotation of the impeller provides the rotational energy for generators.
