SHEET FASTENING AND ANCHORING COMPONENT
An improved agricultural sheeting fastening component for use in anchoring agricultural sheet material includes two arms, each including one or more prongs having a tip adapted to pierce the sheet material to connect the fastening component to the sheet material, wherein a terminating portion of the prong(s) extends in a direction away from a junction of the prong to the arm and at an angle between the arm and the terminating portion of the prong of between about 25 and about 45 degrees.
Reinforced nonwoven material and method of use for landscaping
A novel nonwoven material for use as underlayment in landscaping is disclosed. The inventive method comprises creating a layered nonwoven material, identifying a landscaping location for receiving a portion of said layered nonwoven material; preparing a landscaping location; placing a portion of said layered nonwoven material on said landscaping location. The method may further comprise measuring a portion of said landscaping location; measuring a portion of said layered nonwoven material; comprise cutting one or more desired shapes from a portion of said layered nonwoven material; and securing a portion of said layered nonwoven material to said landscaping location by pushing one or more landscaping pins through said layered nonwoven material and into a portion of ground underneath said layered nonwoven material.
PLANT PROTECTION DEVICE
A plant protection device comprising a durable screen-like mesh pop-up covering structured and arranged to be placed over tomato plants and their supporting cages as well as other caged plants and seedling trees, to protect them from animals and insects.
On Top of Ground Weedless No-Till Gardening System
A no-till gardening system is generally comprised of an upper housing unit, a lower housing unit, and at least one securement device. The at least one securement device is further comprised of an attachment tab and an anchoring unit. The upper housing unit is capable of resting upon that of the lower housing unit. A combination of soil and plant seed may be inserted into the space located in between that of the upper and lower housing units. The at least one securement device is used to secure the upper and lower housing units to the ground.
GROUND ANCHOR ASSEMBLY INCLUDING HIGH-LOAD GROUND ANCHOR AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A ground anchor assembly including high-load ground anchor and method of using same is disclosed. For example, the presently disclosed high-load ground anchor assembly may include a load-bearing top cap tethered to the ground anchor via a cable tendon. In some embodiments, the ground anchor may include a substantially cylindrical body that has a tapered piercing end and a flat driving end and wherein the flat driving end has a central driving hole. Additionally, the high-load ground anchor may include a pair of outwardly extending side wings along one side of the body and a raised securing portion on the side of body opposite the side wings. Further, a method of installing the presently disclosed ground anchor assembly including the high-load ground anchor is provided.
HORTICULTURE DEVICE AND METHOD
A pan-like shaped device with at least one opening in the bottom to accommodate a plant stem or trunk, having at least one aperture in the bottom to permit water to escape to the plant roots and interlocking peripheral walls extending upward from the perimeter of the bottom of the device so the device can be easily connected with like devices having interlocking peripheral walls to expand the area encompassed by the devices. When placed around a growing plant, the horticulture device provides a basin for directing water to the roots of a plant, helps to control weeds because it acts as a weed barrier, and retains moisture around the root by slowing evaporation. The horticulture device can be made in various sizes and shapes to accommodate various kinds of plants and ground areas and various connectors can secure multiple devices together to cover a greater ground area.
DEVICE FOR INHIBITING WEED GROWTH IN A POT
Device for inhibiting weed growth in a pot, where the pot defines a rim around an opening. The device includes a body configured to cover at least a portion of the opening and connect about the rim. The body defines a centrally arranged aperture for receiving a plant arranged in the pot, and is shaped to form a concave upper region surrounding the aperture. The concave upper region is arranged to direct liquid received on the upper region to flow towards and through an outlet to enter the pot. At least the concave upper region is configured to be opaque such that, when arranged across the opening of the pot in use, the body inhibits light transmission through the opening.
Securing device
A securing device (10) for securing an article is disclosed. The securing device comprises a main shaft portion (14) and a securing portion (20) on the main shaft portion.
