Multiple generator wind turbine system
The present invention is a wind turbine system with multiple generator modules that maximize the use of the mast of a wind turbine by implementing an electrical generator module with a magnetic assembly. In some embodiments, the system includes a set of blades adapted to rotate on a horizontal axis and coupled to a first rotor. A first generator is coupled to the first rotor and disposed within a housing. The mast of the system extends from the housing and encloses a second generator module. A gearbox module is adapted to engage the first rotor through a first gear shaft and engage the second rotor through a second gear shaft. The gearbox module may be adapted to selectively engage the second generator module when a windspeed exceeds a threshold windspeed. A magnetic assembly disposed within the mast is adapted to induce an electric current.
Floating structure fluid dynamic force use system and wind-propelled vessel
Provided are a floating structure fluid dynamic force use system and a wind-propelled vessel which uses the system whereby it is possible to compensate for overturning moment due to fluid dynamic force and to alleviate both tilting and size increases of a floating structure. A floating structure fluid dynamic force use system (1) comprises an assembly (12) which extracts energy from wind or water, and a floating structure (13) which supports the assembly (12). The assembly (12) comprises a wind receiving part (10) which receives fluid dynamic force, and a support column (11) which supports the wind receiving part (10). The assembly (12) is positioned with the center of gravity (15) thereof below the water line and is supported to be capable of tilting in an arbitrary direction upon the floating structure (13).
POWER GENERATING SYSTEM USING CURRENT AROUND STRUCTURAL BODY
The present invention relates to a power generating system utilizing current around a structural body. The power generating system is disposed in a flow field, wherein the streams of the flow field flow along a main fluid flow direction. The power generating system comprises a supporting device and a power generating device. The supporting device comprises a supporting body, wherein at least one of a stream-facing region, a side-stream region, and a vortex region is defined on the supporting body. The power generating device comprises at least one power generating unit and a power storage unit, wherein the power generating unit is disposed in at least one of the stream-facing region, the side-stream region, and the vortex region.
Method and means for mounting wind turbines upon a column
A variable level, relatively mobile wind power system consists of turbines mounted upon an axis. As needed, the axis may be brought to the desired level upon a column and retracted to the ground for servicing. The entire wind power system can also be easily transferred to a different location.

Spring-mounted gear mechanism housing
A drive arrangement for a wind turbine includes a main shaft, a housing, and a nacelle-mounted support structure. The main shaft of the drive arrangement for the wind turbine is completely supported in the housing. The housing of the drive arrangement for the wind turbine is at least partially resiliently mounted in the support structure.
