WAVE-ENERGIZED DIODE PUMP
An apparatus that floats at the surface of a body of water over which waves pass, causing a nominally vertical axis of the apparatus to tilt away from an axis normal to the resting surface of the body of water. Tilting allows a fluid to flow through a channel that in an un-tilted apparatus would require the gravitational potential energy of the fluid to increase (i.e., to flow uphill), but, because of the tilt allows the fluid to flow through the channel in a downhill direction. Successive wave-driven tilts of the apparatus incrementally raise water to a head from which a portion of its gravitational potential energy can be converted to electrical power by causing the water to return to a lower level by flowing through a water turbine, or through some other apparatus that performs a useful function when supplied with a flow of high-pressure water.
FLUID MACHINE WITH IMPELLER DRIVEN VIA ITS RIM
A fluid machine (1) having an intake part (21), a discharge part (26), and an impeller (24), the impeller (24) being arranged in an enclosure (18), and a transmission (90) arranged in the enclosure (18) and operationally connecting a rim (11) of the impeller (24) with an energy converter (2,2′).
CLOGGING AND FOULING RESISTANT MARINE POWER GENERATING SYSTEM
A power generating system for sailboats and sailing vessels employing the vacuum provided by a Venturi generator while the boat or vessel is in motion. Placement of a turbine for recovering the energy of air moving from the atmosphere to the throat of the Venturi generator in a duct leading from above deck to the Venturi generator. A variety of methods for generating the required vacuum while avoiding fouling of moving parts and clogging by debris in the water.
Hybrid battery management system
Provided is a device configured to determine a power capacity of a battery of a vehicle, predict a first set of values indicative of amounts of power to be stored during a time interval by the battery, the power being generated by a renewable energy generator carried by the vehicle, and predict a second set of values indicative of amounts of energy to be consumed from the battery during the time interval based on previous energy consumption by the vehicle. The device is also configured to determine a score based on the power capacity, the first set of values, and the second set of values. The system is also configured to determine whether the score satisfies a threshold and, in response to a determination that the score satisfies the threshold, activate an internal combustion engine to charge to the battery.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONVERTING WAVE MOTION TO USABLE ENERGY
The present disclosure provides a method and a device for converting the alternating motion produced by at least one float (202, 222) resting atop surface of a water body into unidirectional motion and converting that motion into usable energy. The method and device may be provided on a structure/vessel (206) or as the interface between the vessel and the water body surface. The vessel incorporating the device as such experiences a reduced effect of vertical perturbations from waves generated on the water body.
Self powered computing buoy
A computing apparatus that is integrated within a flotation module, the system obtaining the energy required to power its computing operations from waves that travel across the surface of a body of water on which the flotation module sets. Additionally, the self-powered computing apparatus employs novel designs to utilize its close proximity to the body of water and/or to strong ocean winds to significantly lower the cost and complexity of cooling their computing circuits.
MARINE SUPPORT COLUMN STRUCTURE WITH POWER GENERATION
The present disclosure belongs to the technical field of power generators, and in particular relates to a marine support column structure with power generation function. The support column structure solves technical problems that existing marine power generators can only generate power with single energy and have few functions and so on. The marine support column structure with power generation function includes a column body. The support column structure of the present disclosure is capable of generating power with sea wind and waves, and is further capable of serving as a guardrail.
Traction air device, air device for a wind plant and wind plant for electric power production, ship provided with a traction air device
Traction air device with multiple wing contours for a wind power generation plant and wind power generation plant utilizing the air device.
FLUID-DRIVEN APPARATUS FOR PROPULSION AND HYDROPOWER GENERATION
A hydropower generator and a fluid-driven propulsion drive are provided. The hydropower generator includes a frame, a roller attached to the frame, a generator operatively connected to the roller, such that rotation of the roller powers the generator, and an endless belt extending from and operatively engaged with the roller. The endless belt has a proximal end engaged with the roller for rotation thereof, and a plurality of pockets extending from a main surface of the endless belt for receiving a flow of fluid thereby moving the endless belt relative to the frame and driving rotation of the roller, and where each of the plurality of pockets includes an opening facing towards the roller about one of the major sides of the endless belt.
