Wave-power system
A wave-power system configured to produce electric power is provided. The wave-power system may comprise a floating body structure, a set of blades attached to the floating body structure, a weight assembly, a bidirectional to unidirectional shaft assembly and/or a power unit. The weight assembly may comprise a plurality of weights which may rotate around a first axis of rotation as a result of floating movements of the floating body structure. Rotation of the plurality of weights may cause an input shaft of the bidirectional to unidirectional shaft assembly to rotate. An output shaft of the bidirectional to unidirectional shaft assembly may rotate in a first direction, regardless of a direction of rotation of the input shaft. Rotation of the output shaft causes the power unit to produce the electric power.
Three-dimensional (3D) flow floating power generator
A floating electrical power generator having a three-dimensional (3D) flow passageway configured for increasing the water flow on the paddle wheel to increase the power output.
HYDROELECTRIC POWER GENERATION DEVICE
A hydropower generator includes: a driving shaft installed along a path through which a fluid flows; a plurality of blade assemblies installed along a lengthwise direction of the driving shaft; a spinning supporter connected to rotatably support the driving shaft; a power generator receiving a spinning force of the driving shaft and generating electricity; and a flow pipeline internally provided with the driving shaft along a lengthwise direction thereof and formed with a channel through which a fluid flows.
Vertical axis wind turbine and method for operating such a turbine
A vertical axis wind turbine includes two or more cells arranged one above the other along a vertical machine axis, wherein each of the cells includes a plurality of vertical blades which are arranged within the cell distributed on a concentric circle about the machine axis and which are connected so as to be able to move together on this circle and which are rotationally fixed with a main shaft, and wherein the blades in the cell are each individually mounted so as to be able to rotate about a vertical axis of rotation which in particular runs internally through them.
SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING, USING AND STORING GREEN ENGERY
A system for generating and storing energy until needed without the use of electricity, the need for banks of batteries or the electrical power grid. The system includes at least one wind energy converter driving, at least one compressor for compressing air. In addition, the system includes, at least one storage device for storing the compressed air, and at least one an air generator driven by the stored compressed to produce clean green electricity, wherein the need for electricity and electrical appliances is eliminated. In addition, the system further includes at least one air-driven device driven by the compressed air where the air-driven device is an air motor or air tools.
CAPSULE BUOY TYPE WAVE ENERGY CONVERTER
A capsule buoy type wave energy converter according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a buoy installed on the water surface, and a power generating unit received in the buoy in a sealed manner so as to generate power. The power generating unit may include a generator for generating power, at least one wave actuator for converting bidirectional movement caused by wave power into unidirectional movement, a torque generator for generating torque by the unidirectional movement transmitted from the wave actuator, and an accelerator for accelerating the torque from the torque generator so as to operate the generator.
Generating Electricity Using the Outfall of a Waste Water Treatment Plant
Described is a process whereby the water discharged from a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) can be used to generate electricity.
Device for recovering wave energy
The invention relates to a device for recovering wave energy, the device including a drum which is adapted to rotate around its centre axis and inside which an electric generator is adapted, arranged to be rotated by the rotating motion of said drum. In order for the device to recover energy better than prior art devices, the device includes at least one wing adapted on the outside of the drum, the wing being arranged to turn in such a way that it may be turned from a first position to a second position whereby, as the wing is in its first position, the motion of water in a first direction of the drum centre axis is arranged to rotate the drum in a first direction, and as the wing is in its second position, the motion of water in a second direction of the drum centre axis is also arranged to rotate the drum in said first direction, and the turning of the wing is arranged to take place under control of a pressure sensor.
Kinetic fluid energy conversion system
A kinetic fluid energy conversion system comprises one or more hubs which rotate about a central hub carrier, each including one or more independently controlled articulating energy conversion plates (ECP). An articulation control system rotates each ECP independently of all others to control its orientation with respect to the fluid flow direction between an orientation of 90 perpendicular to the fluid flow, while traveling in the direction of the flow and 0 minimal drag parallel position to the flow, while traveling in the direction against the flow or blocked from it. Each hub can be operably coupled to another hub to form one or more counter-rotating hub and ECP assemblies whereby the mechanical energy is transferred through the hubs, to one or more clutch/gearbox/generator/pump assemblies thereby permitting such assemblies to be land-based when the system is air-powered, and above or near the surface, when the system is water-powered.
Autonomous underwater beacon locator
The present disclosure provides a small, inexpensive, long-lived underwater beacon locator. The beacon locator can illustratively include a housing, a communications link, a processor, a plurality of hydrophones and a motion generator.
