Extraction Device
09918437 · 2018-03-20 ·

An extraction device eases the task of removing a post, bush or the like from a ground surface. The device includes a pair of legs pivotally coupled together at respective first ends of the legs. A bar is pivotally coupled to a first one of the pair of legs. The bar has a notch extending upwardly into a bottom edge of the bar. A projection is coupled to a second one of the legs. The projection is insertable into the notch to secure the legs in a static position relative to each other. A connector is coupled to an associated one of the legs proximate the first end of the pair of legs. A ratcheting mechanism is removably coupled to the connector. A cable is removably coupled to the ratcheting mechanism for extending around a structural object for removing the structural object from the ground surface.

A tree removal device configured for coupling on a working vehicle is usable for slicing tree roots. The working vehicle has a front element which is pivotal relative to a frame of the vehicle about a lateral axis in front of a forward end of the frame, thereby allowing a knife element of the tree removal device to be pivoted into the ground for performing a cutting action with a sharpened cutting edge so as to slice the tree roots.

STUMP EXTRACTION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING STUMPS
20170135293 · 2017-05-18 · ·

A stump extraction device comprising two opposite jaws, two opposite cutting blades connected as extensions of the jaws, a rotation device, and fixing elements which are fixed to the rotation device and by means of which the stump extraction device can be rigidly fixed to a desired object. The rotation device is configured to rotate the body and the jaws with respect to the fixing elements. A moving working machine comprises the stump extraction device and a knuckle boom assembly, to an end of which the stump extraction device is rigidly connected. The moving working machine may be a crawler excavator. In a method, roots in the ground are cut off from a stump by closing the jaws and the stump is separated from the roots by lifting the stump extraction device by means of the knuckle boom assembly.

TREE PULLER ATTACHMENT

A tree puller attachment for an industrial or farm vehicle includes first and second jaws, which can close relative to each other to grip a trunk of a tree, shrubbery, a pole, etc. Each jaw includes a horizontally oriented, non-planar member for improved digging performance. The non-planar member is continuously curved or substantially continuously curved, by the formation of a series of short curvatures or bends along the length of the jaw. The jaws are driven by a hydraulic cylinder. Dirt riding along a surface of a member of the jaws has a clear path to pass by the hydraulic system, without contaminating or exerting pressure upon the hydraulic system. A removeable plate is attached to each of the jaws, so that serrations on facing edges of the first and second jaws, and forward-facing serrations may be replenished to a new condition when the plate is removed, rotated one hundred and eighty degrees and reattached to the jaws.
