COATINGS FOR REDUCING WEAR ON ROD PUMP COMPONENTS
A pump for an oil and gas well includes a barrel with a surface configured to contact oil and gas well fluid. The pump further includes a first coating formed on at least a portion of the barrel surface. The first coating includes a combination of diamond particles and a composition including nickel and phosphorous. The pump also includes a plunger with a surface configured to contact oil and gas well fluid. The pump additionally includes a second coating formed on at least a portion of the plunger surface. The second coating includes a combination of tungsten carbide particles and a composition including cobalt and chromium.
Pump with plunger having tribological coating
A pump is disclosed. The pump may include at least one pumping mechanism. The at least one pumping mechanism may include a barrel formed of a substrate having a bore and a plunger formed of a substrate and slidably disposed within the bore in the barrel. The pump may further include a coating disposed on the plunger. The coating may include a main layer containing a tribological material and a sacrificial break-in layer disposed on the main layer, the break-in layer containing a tribological material.
Rotary compressor having vane that has diamond-like carbon layer
A rotary compressor includes: a compressing unit that includes an annular cylinder, an end plate, an annular piston which is fit in an eccentric portion of a rotation shaft, and a vane which protrudes from the inside of a vane groove of the cylinder to the inside of an operation chamber, comes into contact with the annular piston, and partitions the operation chamber into an inlet chamber and a compression chamber. The vane is formed of steel and has a diamond-like carbon layer formed on a sliding surface with respect to the annular piston. The annular piston is formed of NiCrMo cast iron to which 0.15 wt % to 0.45 wt % of phosphorus is added, or is formed of cast iron or steel and has an iron nitride layer formed on an outer circumferential surface thereof.
Components for compressors having electroless coatings on wear surfaces
Carbon dioxide compressors having one or more coatings with wear surfaces having electroless surface coatings are provided. Alternatively, propane compressors are contemplated having wear surface coatings. The coating is electrolessly applied and may comprise nickel and wear resistant particles, such as boron nitride. The electroless surface coatings for use with compressor machines improve corrosion and wear resistance, as well as anti-friction properties for compressors processing CO.sub.2 or C.sub.3H.sub.8 containing refrigerants. In certain aspects, a scroll machine has an Oldham coupling and/or lower bearing comprising aluminum and has an electroless surface coating comprising nickel boron nitride particles disposed on one or more wear surfaces. In other aspects, a reciprocating compressor has a wear surface, such as on a connecting rod and/or piston coated with an electrolessly applied nickel and boron nitride particle layer. Methods for making the electroless surface coatings are also provided.

Vacuum pump and vacuum pump rotor blade
A vacuum pump and a vacuum pump rotor blade that can effectively limit deposition of reaction products are provided. The vacuum pump includes a rotating shaft held rotationally, a drive mechanism for the rotating shaft, a first rotor blade made of a first material, a second rotor blade made of a second material having higher heat resistance than the first material, and disposed further toward a downstream side than the first rotor blade, and a casing enclosing the rotating shaft, the first rotor blade, and the second rotor blade. The second rotor blade is disposed, via a heat insulating portion, on the first rotor blade.
PUMP WITH WEAR-RESISTANT BARREL AND PLUNGER HAVING COATING SUPPORT
A pumping mechanism is disclosed. The pumping mechanism may include a barrel formed of a barrel substrate and including a first end surface, a second end surface opposite the first end surface, and a bore between the first and second end surfaces. Each of the first and second end surfaces and the bore is coated with a metal plating. The pumping mechanism may further include a plunger formed of a plunger substrate and configured to be slidably disposed in the bore in barrel, the plunger substrate having a tribological coating.
SCROLL COMPRESSOR
A scroll compressor is provided that may include a casing having a sealed inner space; a drive motor provided in the inner space of the casing to generate a rotational force; a rotational shaft rotatably coupled to the drive motor; an orbiting scroll formed of an aluminum material, and coupled to the rotational shaft to perform an orbiting movement; a fixed scroll coupled to the orbiting scroll to form a compression space; and an Oldham ring coupled to the orbiting scroll, and formed of a sintered metal. With this structure, it may be possible to prevent the Oldham ring from being worn out due to contact with the orbiting scroll. Further, a weight loss portion or wear-resistant coating layer may be formed on a portion of the Oldham ring, thereby suppressing or preventing vibration noise of the scroll compressor from being increased due to a weight increase of the Oldham ring.
Nickel based alloy for forging
A nickel (Ni) based alloy for forging includes: 0.001 to 0.1 wt. % of carbon (C); 12 to 23 wt. % of chromium (Cr); 3.5 to 5.0 wt. % of aluminum (Al); 5 to 12 combined wt. % of tungsten (W) and molybdenum (Mo) in which the Mo content is 5 wt. % or less; a negligible small amount of titanium (Ti), tantalate (Ta) and niobium (Nb); and the balance of Ni and inevitable impurities.
