PISTON HAVING AN UNDERCROWN SURFACE WITH COATING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A vehicle internal combustion piston and method of construction thereof are provided. The piston includes piston body extending along a central longitudinal axis, having an upper combustion wall forming an upper combustion surface and an undercrown surface opposite the upper combustion surface. An annular ring belt region depends from the upper combustion surface, a pair of skirt panels depend from the ring belt region, and a pair of pin bosses depend from the undercrown surface to provide laterally spaced pin bores aligned along a pin bore axis for receipt of a wrist pin. The undercrown surface forms a central undercrown region, and a portion of either an open outer cooling gallery, a sealed outer cooling gallery, or an outer galleryless region. A coating including copper is applied to hot spots along the undercrown surface to mitigate the hot spots provide a more uniform temperature along the undercrown surface during operation.
Swash plate and method of manufacturing swash plate
A swash plate includes 34.5 to 43.0 wt % of copper (Cu) and 0.5 to 2.8 wt % of silicon (Si), with a remainder of aluminum (Al) and other inevitable impurities.
Compressor with a suction valve having a spring, a seal, and a cylindrical suction valve body
The present invention discloses a compressor comprising: an outer pipe being connected from an outside to pass through the vessel; an inner pipe being closely inserted into the outer pipe; a compression mechanism including a suction hole formed of a blind hole and a suction valve in the suction hole. The suction valve includes a seal on a side facing an opening of the suction hole to seal an entire end of the inner pipe on a side facing the suction valve when the compressor stops.
VALVE SEAT RING
The invention relates to a highly heat conductive valve seat ring (1) comprising a carrier layer (2) and a functional layer (3), wherein the carrier layer (2) consists of a solidified copper matrix containing 0.10 to 20% w/w of a solidifying component s and the functional layer (3) consists of a solidified copper matrix which further contains, based on the copper matrix, 5 to 35% w/w of one or more hard phases.
Stators for downhole motors, methods for fabricating the same, and downhole motors incorporating the same
The present invention recites a method of fabricating a stator for a downhole motor, the method comprising the steps of providing a stator tube having an interior surface and applying a bonding agent to the interior surface of the stator tube. Additionally, a mandrel is positioned within the stator tube, the mandrel having an outer geometry that is complimentary to a desired inner geometry for the stator. Furthermore, a reinforcing material is introduced into the stator tube to fill space between the mandrel and the interior surface of the stator tube and subsequently solidified to bond the reinforcing material to the interior surface of the stator tube. The mandrel is then removed from the bonded stator tube and reinforcing material such that a stator is fabricated.
Piston for internal combustion engine
A piston that moves reciprocally in the cylinder of an internal combustion engine and has a piston skirt that makes sliding contact with the inner wall of the cylinder. Solid lubrication parts are provided on the sliding-contact surface of the piston skirt. The solid lubrication parts include at least one type of silver, silver alloy, copper, or copper alloy, and at least one type of carbon material or carbide ceramics.
PISTON COMPRESSION RINGS OF COPPER-BERYLLIUM ALLOYS
A piston ring is made from a copper-beryllium alloy. This material permits the top compression ring of a piston to be moved closer to the piston crown, reducing crevice volume and reducing the tendency for pre-ignition. Ignition timing advance can be realized by installing the rings and letting the ECU advance the timing as the sensors allow, increasing efficiency. Also, shorter pistons and longer connecting rods are possible. The shorter pistons reduces the reciprocated mass in the engine and the longer connecting rods reduce the frictional loss caused by radial forces pushing the piston against the liner. Both reducing volume and tendency for pre-ignition increase engine efficiency.
PISTON COMPRESSION RINGS OF COPPER-NICKEL-TIN ALLOYS
A piston ring is made from a copper-containing alloy.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SWASHPLATE
The invention relates to a swashplate (5) for a swashplate compressor (1) comprising a main swashplate body (8), which is made from a sintering material, and to a method for producing the swashplate (5).
BEARING FACES WITH FLUID CHANNELS FOR GEAR PUMPS
A bearing carrier has a bearing body including a first material. The bearing body has an exterior surface defining a bridge land with a finger cut and rotatably supports a first and second gear. The first and second gears intermesh with one another for pressurizing fluid traversing the gears between a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet defined in a housing enveloping the bearing carrier.
The bridge land is defined in a second material integral with the first material. Methods fabricating a bearing carrier for a gear pump are also disclosed.
