Cable use system, overhead moving device, and cable use method
A cable use system includes a plurality of support posts, a cable supported by the support posts, a winding device configured to wind the cable, a hoisting device coupled to the cable and configured to move in an air when the cable is wound by the winding device, and a cutting device hung from the hoisting device. The cutting device includes a cutting unit configured to cut a surface side of a tree all around.
Arrangement for achieving a reciprocal motion in particular for a chain saw
An arrangement that can be turned by an assigned hydraulic pressure and flow, related to a chain saw supported by a harvesting unit for crosscutting timber, wherein a bearing arrangement is arranged for the chain saw and oriented between a guide bar housing and the chain saw's drive motor unit, wherewith an oscillatory motion can be activated by a hydraulic control valve, through which hydraulic flow is alternatively controlled via feed or connection lines to the bearing arrangement, for a first or second operating mode. The arrangement is activated via hydrostatic pressure and coordinated with the guide bar housing, and with the drive motor unit, via surrounding perforated discs oriented in parallel and aligned around an axis of rotation for a drive shaft. The hydrostatic affects the arrangement's oscillatory motion for a reciprocal motion pattern, while spent hydraulic oil serves as a lubricating film between the opposing bearing surfaces.

SAW BLADE SHARPNESS MECHANISM
In accordance with an example embodiment, a saw blade sharpness mechanism for use on a tree sawing device, having a saw blade which rotates to saw trees. The saw blade dulls over time during normal operating conditions, and the speed of the saw blade decreases as the saw blade contacts the tree during sawing operation. The speed of the saw blade during sawing operations decreases more after repeated operations as the saw blade dulls. A sensor senses the speed of the saw blade. A processor receives inputs from the sensor and determines when the speed of the saw blade during tree sawing operation has decreased due to wear to a point that it would be more economical to replace the saw blade with a new sharper blade. When such condition is determined, the processor sends a signal to an indicator which sends a signal to the operator.
Tree felling and grappling head
A grappling and severing head for gripping and severing a tree stem, having a grapple assembly and a severing assembly. Grapple arms are attached to a grapple body and extend forward beyond a front face of the grapple body. A severing assembly body is attached to the grapple body and is moveable between a retracted position and an extended position. A severing device is attached to the severing assembly body and is moveable between a stowed position and a range of deployed positions. When the severing device is in the stowed position and the severing assembly body is in the retracted position, the severing device and the severing assembly body lie substantially behind the front face of the grapple. body and/or behind the gripping face of at least one of the grapple arms.

TILTING SAW BLADE FOR A FELLER HEAD
A feller head for use with a prime mover in harvesting trees has a grapple that defines a cavity having a vertical axis. The cavity is designed to receive a tree to be harvested along the vertical axis. A cutter blade is mounted below the grapple. The cutter blade is suitable for cutting through the tree being harvested and defines a cutting plane along which the tree is cut. An adjustable mounting mounts the cutter blade to the grapple and permits pivotal movement of the cutting plane about a roll axis and a pitch axis. An actuator controls the pivotal movement of the cutting plane about the roll axis and the pitch axis.
FEEDING DEVICE AND FEEDING METHOD ON HANDLING TIMBER
Disclosed is a new type of dosing device in a tree-processing device and a method for using it. The dosing device comprises a pump (2) to be attached to the processing device and a feed hose (15) connected to the pump (2) for leading the treatment agent fed by the pump (2) to the point of use. In the device is a replaceable treatment-agent cartridge (7) and the treatment-agent cartridge contains treatment agent. The cartridge is attached to the inlet port of the pump (2) by means of an adapter (4).
Method for Sawing a Long Profile and Machine for Cutting Same to Length
The invention relates to a method for sawing a long profile (3) in that a sawing disc (2) having teeth (6) arranged around a circular outer circumference of the sawing disc (2) is rotated freely, the sawing disc (2) is advanced from a freely rotating position to an outer wall of the long profile (3), and a zero tooth (Z.sub.1, Z.sub.2, Z.sub.3, Z.sub.4) engages as the first of the teeth (6) in the material of the outer wall, wherein, during the free rotation of the sawing disc (2), lateral runouts (d) of the teeth (6) are determined, and a tooth (6) having a minimum lateral runout (d) is determined and used as the zero tooth (Z.sub.1, Z.sub.2, Z.sub.3, Z.sub.4).
