A land preparation tool includes a tool body having a longitudinal axis, a cutting surface having a distal end and a blade positioned at the distal end, and a mounting interface disposed on the tool body opposite the cutting surface. The mounting interface has an apex extending along the mounting interface parallel to the longitudinal axis, a mounting surface extending from the apex, another mounting surface extending from the apex, and an opening. A channel extends from the opening of the mounting interface into the tool body.

A land preparation tool includes a tool body having a longitudinal axis, a cutting surface having a distal end and a blade positioned at the distal end, and a mounting interface disposed on the tool body opposite the cutting surface. The mounting interface has an apex extending along the mounting interface parallel to the longitudinal axis, a mounting surface extending from the apex, another mounting surface extending from the apex, and an opening. A powered mulcher is configured for attachment to a vehicle. The mulcher includes a frame assembly and a drum assembly contained within the frame assembly. The drum assembly includes a substantially cylindrical drum and a cutting array mounted to the drum. The cutting array includes a plurality of flights connected to the drum and a plurality of cutters attached to each of the plurality of flights. The plurality of flights are configured to push processed plant debris away from the ends and middle of the drum.

A land preparation machine includes a land preparation apparatus connected to a lift assembly of a vehicle. The land preparation apparatus has a rotatable drum and a plurality of tools assemblies disposed thereon. A tool assembly of the plurality of tool assemblies includes a tool holder and a tool attached thereto. The tool includes a tool body having a cutting surface disposed on a side of the tool body, an apex disposed on a different side of the tool body opposite the cutting surface, and tool mounting surfaces disposed on the side of the tool body opposite the cutting surface. One tool mounting surface extends outwardly from the apex at an angle toward the cutting surface. Another tool mounting surface extends outwardly from the apex, opposite the other tool mounting surface, at an angle toward the cutting surface. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

A land preparation machine includes a land preparation apparatus connected to a lift assembly of a vehicle. The land preparation apparatus has a rotatable drum and a plurality of tools assemblies disposed thereon. A tool assembly of the plurality of tool assemblies includes a tool holder and a tool attached thereto. The tool includes a tool body having a cutting surface disposed on a side of the tool body, an apex disposed on a different side of the tool body opposite the cutting surface, and tool mounting surfaces disposed on the side of the tool body opposite the cutting surface. One tool mounting surface extends outwardly from the apex at an angle toward the cutting surface. Another tool mounting surface extends outwardly from the apex, opposite the other tool mounting surface, at an angle toward the cutting surface. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

A lifting apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a primary body that has a support for supporting a person, and a secondary body. A releasable coupling provides selective coupling between the primary and secondary bodies. The lifting apparatus has (a) a first condition in which the primary body is coupled to the secondary body, and (b) a second condition in which the primary body is not coupled to the secondary body, and is configured to be releasably coupled to a vehicle.

A device for comminuting whole trees or brush type vegetation comprising a set of more than two rotatable substantially horizontally oriented comminution drum assemblies; said set of rotatable comminution drum assemblies being constructed and arranged in an angular orientation so that the uppermost rotatable comminution drum assembly in said set of more than two substantially horizontally oriented comminution drum assemblies first engages the top portion of the whole tree or brush type vegetation and the remaining rotatable comminution drum assemblies in said set of more than two substantially horizontally oriented comminution drum assemblies sequentially engage lower portions of the whole tree or brush type vegetation that exist immediately below the portions that are comminuted by each successive comminution drum assembly.
