A vane assembly includes an airfoil fairing that has first and second fairing platforms and a hollow airfoil section that extends there between. A spar has a spar leg that extends through the hollow airfoil section. The spar leg has a through-passage and an end portion that protrudes from the second fairing platform. A support is secured with the end portion of the spar leg. The support has a platform that includes first and second sides, an opening that extends between the first and second sides, and a nozzle tube that extends from the second side. The first side is adjacent the second fairing platform. The end portion of the spar leg is disposed in the opening so as to fluidly connect the through-passage with the nozzle tube.

Gas turbine stator

The invention is related to the gas turbine stators of the gas turbine engines applied in aviation. The gas turbine stator, in the outer housing of which sectors of the split honeycomb ring (made as double-layer one) are installed with support elements on the front and rear axial ends of the sector. In this invention, the layer of the sector facing the outer housing is made U-shaped in the plane, the support elements are made as separate rotary bodies distributed uniformly along the circumference and the front support elements (on the gas flow direction) are larger than rear ones in terms of geometrical dimensions by factor 1.1 . . . 1.5. Therefore, the implementation of the invention proposed with the characteristic features above, in conjunction with the known features of the invention claimed enables reduction of the gas turbine stator weight and improvement its reliability without compromising the turbine efficiency.

The present invention relates to an impeller comprising: a shroud having a plurality of spiral upper slot units formed therein; a hub located to face the shroud; and a plurality of blades connected to the hub and inserted into the upper slot units to be coupled to the shroud, wherein the blade includes a body portion formed to be inclined to one side and an upper end portion, which is bent upward from the body portion and has a second concave surface formed in one side and a second convex surface formed on the other side thereof, and the upper slot unit includes an upper slot bottom for forming a space in which the upper end portion is inserted; an upper slot wall divided into a first upper slot wall located at the second concave surface side and a second upper slot wall located at the second convex surface side; and a second inclined surface formed to be inclined from the first upper slot wall so as to face the second concave surface. Thus, the impeller secures the assembling of the blades and has the effect of reducing the possibility of separation of the blades during the high-speed rotation of the impeller, which improves the structural rigidity of the impeller.

Fan, Synchronous Machine And Methods

A fan including a hub having a central axis; a plurality of interlock blade elements connected to the hub by means of an interlock such that each interlock blade element is prevented from moving in a radial direction with respect to the hub; and an end blade element positioned on the hub between two interlock blade elements, the end blade element being fixed to the hub to prevent movement of each interlock blade element in a circumferential direction of the hub; wherein each interlock blade element is connected to the hub by a first blade movement in a radially inward direction with respect to the hub followed by a second blade movement in a circumferential direction of the hub to establish the interlock.

Radial Impeller
