The endwall may further comprise a cooling fluid channel between the hot surface of the endwall spar and the cold surface of the coversheet. The cooling fluid channel may include a cooling fluid inlet disposed in the endwall spar, and a cooling fluid outlet. The cooling fluid outlet may be formed at an angle with the axis of the endwall spar. A plurality of pedestals may be disposed on the hot surface of the endwall spar extending into the cooling channel. The pedestals may be formed at an angle with the axis of the endwall spar to direct a cooling fluid.
THRUST REVERSER CASCADE INCLUDING ACCOUSTIC TREATMENT
A cascade for a thrust reversal device intended to be mounted on a turbomachine of an aircraft, the cascade including first partitions extending in a first direction, second fixed partitions extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and a frame inside which the first and second partitions extend, the frame including at least two fixed walls extending according to the first direction, and at least one part of each first partition extending between two second partitions. At least one first partition is mobile according to the second direction between a first position wherein the first partition is distant, in the second direction, from the fixed walls to form a plurality of resonating cavities with the first partitions and/or the fixed walls, and a second position wherein the one first partition is in contact with a fixed wall or another first partition.
THRUST REVERSER SYSTEM FOR AN AIRCRAFT PROPULSION SYSTEM
A first cascade segment of a thrust reverser system has a first cascade segment flow area and is associated with a first lateral sector. A second cascade segment has a second cascade segment flow area and is associated with a second lateral sector. The second cascade segment flow area may be at least 1.2 times the first cascade segment flow area. The first lateral sector has a first leakage flow area and a first total flow area that is equal to a sum of at least the first cascade segment flow area and the first leakage flow area. The second lateral sector has a second leakage flow area and a second total flow area that is equal to a sum of at least the second cascade segment flow area and the second leakage flow area. The second total flow area may be within 10% of the first total flow area.
PASSIVE FLOW MODULATION DEVICE
A passive flow modulation device for a machine defining an axial direction and a radial direction, the passive flow modulation device including: a first ring with a first coefficient of thermal expansion; a second ring disposed coaxially with the first ring and positioned at least partially inward of the first ring along the radial direction, spaced from the first ring along the axial direction, or both, the first ring, the second ring, or both defining at least in part one or more passages, the second ring with a second coefficient of thermal expansion that is less than the first coefficient of thermal expansion to passively modulate a size of the one or more passages during operation.
Compressor module for turbomachine
A turbomachine compressor module comprising an annular array of struts provided with pivotable flaps. The struts can define inter-strut spaces between two circumferentially adjacent struts, and variably oriented stator vanes are disposed at least partially in the inter-strut spaces. Also, a turbomachine having such a module and a row of rotor blades directly downstream of the module.
TURBINE
A turbine includes a rotor including a rotation shaft that rotates around an axis and a blade row formed on an outer surface of the rotation shaft; a casing, which covers the rotor, has a casing inner surface being expanded radially outward approaching a downstream side of the casing in a direction of the axis; and an inner member body formed to line the casing inner surface of the casing such that an extraction port is formed between an upstream side end of the inner member body and the casing inner surface. A discharge port is formed between a downstream side end of the inner peripheral member body and the casing inner peripheral surface. The extraction port and the discharge port are formed in an annular shape centered on the axis. A flow path cross-sectional area of the discharge port is smaller than that of the extraction port.
